I only play draft, I just used prisoners dilemma because it’s a very cool card that I like the concept of. Please be happier in general

Dominion scratches a similar itch and you can buy every expansion for less than a mid-range commander deck.

A friend tried to teach me to play Magic, but it was just an excuse for him to get to win against someone. I did not find it fun. And I thought the the expense was absurd. Making my own card games, though, that's fun.

I might have gotten into the game, if the friends showing me how to play knew how to dial it tf back for me. But no, they pulled out all the stops, played as aggressively as possible, and after losing 8 times in a row I never wanted to play again.

I tried to get back into it a few years ago. Went to the card store to play a local game . As soon as I walked in the door the aroma of the room told me I didn't belong there.

I'm pretty sure this game is only fun if you and your group of friends learn, play, and build decks together and you never ever try to expand outside of that group into the larger community.

I'm so glad I got out when I did. Any time I look into it now, its an absolute no-fun-allowed shitshow.

MTG is basically Fortnite with cards these days it was already a pay-to-win game, but at least it had character, now it's just nonsense.

i’m in my early 40s. MTG got ‘big’ when i was in 5th grade. i was into it for a lil while but the main interest was wheeling & dealing: trading a few common cards for rare cards (according to Wizard mag). not sure i ever really played more than a couple actual games 😂

Okay but what about Warhammer AoS where this is my core army rule I have to constantly remind my opponent and myself of, on top of all of my unit abilities that can include ones that manipulate this same rule, and my 4 spell lores.

Don't play MtG but I already said that if they decide to do a Kingdom Hearts crossover set for the game. Then I will immediately start to play just for that alone. Which we all know will never EVER happen. It has a snowball's chance in hell for Kingdom Hearts to happen in MtG.

this game became about you creating a combo, sticking with it, and pretending it is fun. But, since I play izzet with an infinite combo, it is kinda fun for me.

Ah damn okay honestly good use for art cards, sometimes if it's a card I wanna try I'll use the art cards as proxies xD kokusho is a fun card drains 5 from each opponent and you gain life equal to the damage when it dies so you just kill/revive him to suck off the table
