She walks onto Jesse's property to intimidate him. There is a dead body a few meters away and she has no idea. Jesse tries to get rid of her. Look, lady, whatever you're selling, I ain't buying, yo. And Skyler hands it right back. "Well, my name is Skyler White, yo! My husband is Walter White, yo!" That's the joke. She's not inventing a language, she's repeating his back at him, and it comes out of her mouth like a woman reading a foreign menu. She thinks she's matching him. She has no idea how far outside her world this is. Jesse's reaction makes it better. He's confused, a little scared, weirdly respectful. No escalation, no mocking her to her face. He listens, works out that this woman has completely misread the situation, and agrees to her terms anyway. And technically? He keeps his word. Skyler tells him not to sell weed to Walt. Remember when Walt and Jesse were this close to getting clipped by Hank? The scenes leading to it got me wondering.. The way Walt just disregards Badger's mentioning of Jesse here, he could have told him not to call him. That would have avoided the whole Hank finding the RV thing. Then he wouldn't have had to do the fake call. Then Jesse wouldn't have gotten pummeled. Then Hank would have still had his gun. Then the Salamanca twins would have been handled in short order. Then (in addition to the random parking lot shopper being eliminated). Hank wouldn't have had to learn to walk again, and likely not dug into all the Gale documents, finding the W.W. note. Walt's disregard of Jesse caused a domino effect. "What about him?" His arrogance caused many issues.
