It's crazy when you can't even count on your local police department to do background checks on their own police. Waynoka, Oklahoma (Woods County) police department gets a visit from an auditor who confronts Waynoka Police Chief K. Mullin. The auditor exposes that the department hired Colin Kirk, an officer with a massive criminal history including: Domestic Abuse (1st & 4th Degree) Domestic Assault (3rd Degree) Allegations of stealing firearms Chief Mullins admits that he personally resigned from the McPherson, KS department. The chief tried to say it was to come down to Oklahoma as the chief of this department. He tries to defend his own record after the auditor asked him if he was ever fired from a previous department, however the reality is he left under the cloud of an internal investigation or professional misconduct allegations. THE END RESULTS: Colin Kirk was terminated shortly after the footage went viral. Chief K. Mullin resigned from the Waynoka PD within 48 hours of this confrontation. A total collapse of departmental oversight caught on camera. Now it's clear why no background check was run on Kirk and that's because nobody ran one on the chief. 🤦
