Exercise DUSTLIK 2026 - the 7th edition of the India-Uzbekistan joint military exercise, is being conducted at the Gurumsaray Field Training Area, Namangan, Uzbekistan, from 12 to 25 April 2026. The exercise is aimed at enhancing interoperability and joint operational capability in semi-mountainous terrain, with focus on joint planning, tactical drills, special arms skills and special operations against unlawful armed groups. During the exercise, troops of both contingents have undertaken area familiarisation, exchange of tactics, techniques and procedures, ambidextrous pistol firing, reflex shooting, RPG firing, unarmed combat, bayonet fighting, UAV application, Fire and Move drills in urban terrain, Combat Casualty Evacuation, reconnaissance and surveillance, house intervention drills, mountaineering, rappelling, sniper training and navigation exercises to strengthen tactical synergy and operational readiness. Physical endurance and team spirit have also been reinforced through runs, calisthenics, yoga and other confidence-building activities. In the coming days, the exercise is expected to advance to more complex joint missions in semi-mountainous terrain, including strike operations against hostile objectives, capture of designated targets, heliborne employment, establishment of a joint command and control structure and validation of integrated special operations procedures, further deepening coordination and interoperability between the Indian Army and the Uzbekistan Army.

AFP, U.S., Partner Nations Conduct Counter-Landing Live Fire Exercise in Palawan The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), together with the United States Armed Forces, Australian Defence Force, and New Zealand Defence Force, conducted a Counter-Landing Live Fire Exercise (CLLFX-West) on April 27, 2026 at the Apurawan Beach Landing Site in Aborlan, Palawan, as part of Exercise Balikatan 41–2026. Led by the Philippine Marine Corps’ 3rd Marine Brigade, the exercise simulated a maritime threat involving an enemy amphibious landing along the coastline, showcasing combined forces’ capability to detect, disrupt, and deny hostile elements from establishing a beachhead. The activity demonstrated strong coordination and interoperability among participating forces in a complex littoral environment. The exercise highlighted a layered, multi-domain defense employing synchronized air, land, and indirect fire assets. The Philippine Air Force deployed FA-50 fighter jets for air interdiction, while U.S. forces provided High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) capabilities. Ground forces executed mid- to close-range engagements using artillery, mortars, light armored vehicles, anti-armor systems, heavy machine guns, and infantry weapons, supported by precision strikes and reconnaissance. In addition, a simulated Non-Combatant Evacuation Operation (NEO) was conducted in Sitio Bubusawin and Sitio Long Point, alongside a community outreach activity in coordination with the local government of Aborlan and Barangay Apurawan, underscoring the AFP’s role in both defense and humanitarian operations. Indian Army Intensifies Winter Operations in Kishtwar and Doda to Flush Out Pakistani Terrorists As the bone-chilling winter descends upon the Himalayas and the 40-day period of Chillai Kalan grips Jammu & Kashmir, sources in the defence establishment have said that the Indian Army has intensified its counter-terrorism operations across the Kishtwar and Doda districts. Undeterred by freezing temperatures, treacherous terrain, and heavy snowfall, Army units have expanded their operational reach into higher and snowbound areas to pursue and neutralise Pakistani terrorists attempting to exploit the harsh season for concealment. Traditionally, the onset of Chillai Kalan; the harshest phase of Kashmir’s winter spanning from December 21 to January 31 ushers in a temporary lull in terrorist activities, as communication routes close and heavy snowfall isolates mountain regions. However, this winter has marked a decisive shift in the operational approach of the Indian Army and other security forces. Instead of reducing activities, sources have said that the Army has adopted a proactive winter posture, establishing temporary bases and surveillance posts deep within snow-covered areas to maintain unbroken pressure on possible terrorist hideouts. Operating in sub-zero temperatures with limited visibility, Army patrols have been regularly traversing high-altitude ridgelines, valleys, and forested areas to deny terrorists any sanctuary. The shift according to experts signifies an evolution in counter-terrorism tactics, underlining both the Army’s adaptability and its resolve to maintain operational momentum irrespective of the season or terrain. A defining feature of this year’s counter-terror strategy has been the integrated approach to operations. The Indian Army is leading a synchronised effort involving multiple security and law enforcement agencies, including the Civil Administration, Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Special Operations Group (SOG), Forest Guards, and Village Defence Guards (VDGs). This inter-agency cooperation ensures seamless sharing of intelligence, resource optimisation & sharper operational execution. Intelligence from multiple agencies is carefully synthesised to draw precise situational pictures of terrorist movement and hideout patterns. The synergy among ground units and intelligence frameworks has enhanced response time, enabling security forces to act swiftly the moment actionable information surfaces. As per assessment made by various intelligence agencies, there are approximately 30 to 35 Pakistani terrorists currently in the Jammu region. Inputs gathered over the past few months suggests that these Pakistani terrorist groups, finding themselves cornered by successful counter-terror operations, have shifted deeper into higher and middle mountain reaches of the region; areas now devoid of habitation. These terrorists are believed to be seeking temporary winter hideouts to evade detection and avoid direct confrontation with security troops. Reports indicate that these remnants of terror groups are attempting to coerce or threaten local villagers for shelter and food supplies, though their support among locals and overground workers has sharply declined. The drying local support and continuous security vigilance at lower altitudes have forced them into isolation, further restricting their ability to regroup or plan coordinated attacks. The principal focus for the Army and other forces this winter is twofold: to eliminate remaining terrorist pockets within known areas and to ensure that terrorists remain confined to inhospitable higher reaches. This containment strategy not only prevents terrorists from infiltrating or regrouping in populated belts but also significantly disrupts their logistics & communication.

Cascades Volcano Observatory update for Friday, June 5, 2026: All volcanoes in the Cascade Range of Oregon and Washington were at normal background levels of activity for the last week. Small earthquakes were detected at Mount Rainier, Mount Hood, Newberry, and Mount St. Helens. Field staff performed station maintenance at Mount Hood and Mount Rainier. In this exclusive footage, we observe USGS volcano scientists in their natural habitat. Clad in their distinctive orange flight suits, the scientists cautiously traverse the steaming lava dome of Mount St. Helens, formed during the volcano's remarkable 1980–1986 dome-building period. Despite the rugged terrain, they appear completely at ease, stopping periodically to inspect rocks, collect samples, and point enthusiastically at things invisible to the untrained eye. The bright orange plumage serves two purposes: visibility in the field and easy identification by helicopters. Their diet consists primarily of coffee, trail mix, and curiosity. The lava dome, still warm and steaming in places, provides an ideal environment for the volcano scientist. Notice how the two work together. This behavior helps maximize productivity while also maintaining a high level of safety and situational awareness. Remarkable. The expedition concludes with successfully maintained monitoring equipment, valuable observations, and dozens of photos that all look identical to everyone else. After a few more hours, I think I've figured out Opus 5. Opus 5 is trained to be more agentic than anything I've used. All Claude 5 models are like that. So what changes? The way to interact with Opus 5 or contextualize it won't work the same way as with other models. It loves exploring, so it doesn't need much guidance for it. Unique preferences, artifacts, and references compliment it well and enable cleaner and more effective exploration and execution. Now that it can explore more effectively on its own and understand intent better, the best thing to do is to get out of its way (e.g., it doesn't need examples of your preferences; a clear high-level description of it works best). It's truly agentic in that sense. A good first step to provide better context for Opus 5 is to distinguish between what's situational and what needs persistence. Regardless, persistent system prompts and CLAUDE.MD needs to stay lightweight. Remove memories and tool descriptions from these. CLAUDE.MD is also a great place to tap into progressive disclosure by linking command/skills to it. On the situational side, agent skills and auto-memory can leverage progressive disclosure and the improved ability of the model to use its external context/knowledge. Conflicting and unnecessary instructions, which are common at this layer (mainly to ensure reliability), are going to throw off this model easily. That's the biggest change I had to make. Simple, clean, and clear prompts and skills work best. I had to clean a lot of my skills and system prompts. The way I prompt remains the same (usually clear and well-scoped). MCP tool descriptions are also more descriptive and have been deduped from the system prompt. Anthropic released a guide on the new rules for context engineering, which was helpful here. I started to test the recommendations and created a little artifact with the things that worked along the way. This might feel like a lot of work. Believe me, it has been frustrating. But I think we can expect future frontier models to become more agentic and smarter at figuring out the right context/gaps. The best thing to do is to prepare for that now. Boris Cherny mentioned that Opus 5 is their least prompt-injectable model yet. I am not sure if that was something they intentionally trained for or if it emerged based on how it was trained, which is to be extremely agentic in nature and more direct in execution.

Today's recap: - Initial prototype of Divine's face was printed but it had human assistance. - Files are generated from stable diffusion prompt -> NeRF by divine and were based on community sentiment from early sketches she made. - Having divine redesign the 3D file with different Hugging Face models to get better quality. Have not found a great model like our video generator. - Ordered new table for divine's print arm. The table her arm is on is too flimsy. Since Divine's vision system is still clearing customs, if she is not perfectly positioned she can be prone to hit things, like the fume box the printer is in. ETA: 1-2 days for table. 1 week for vision system. - Another part of Divine's coming stream will be attempting to surpass the skills of this AI. - Stacking more content for when the stream goes live, a lot of people were expecting a 24/7 stream, we said this would be a test stream to print the face. The test was a failure. We will try and try again until we are 24/7. If anyone can please try and beat us to doing this, it will help me get it done faster. - TikTok account for divine is growing at 500 follows per day, it is now growing faster than our X account. - Got replies functioning in high quality testing in Discord. Fine tuning based on community feedback today. Will soon deploy to Twitter/Telegram/X - Lots of good partnership calls, interviews and hires. From December 17th to around the 30th, the migrating speed was over 50,000 to 100,000 per day, but now it has dropped to just over 10,000. What is the reason for this decline? If it was previously possible to migrate over 100,000 per day, why has it changed? The CT has stated that they will OM until the first quarter of this year to bring the migratiion in line with KYC amounts. However, if it's technically feasible to achieve a higher migration speed, why isn’t it being done? The answer is quite simple: it depends on what everyone does with the Pi after such large migration numbers. If pioneers rush to buy and sell, hold onto their Pi coins, or trade at low value, it will impact the speed and efficiency of the next migration in these regions. This principle is not only theoretically valid but has proven true in practice. For instance, countries like the Philippines, Indonesia, and Malaysia have a solid educational foundation in GCV. Most pioneers there are highly aware of the risks involved in participating in the black market, which allows them to generate a substantial amount of GCV data. As a result, their migration speed is notably fast, and there are many large wallet migrated. To help the CT regain momentum, we all need to cooperate. Engage with the migrated Pi and participate in the GCV barter ecosystem. Be cautious of individuals who aim to deceive you for personal gain; devaluing the Pi often serves as a tactic to exchange something small for your valuable treasure. It's crucial to educate pioneers about the true value of what they hold and encourage them to avoid dishonest practices. I urge everyone to actively participate in partial Pi and partial FIAT barter. The more GCV data we generate, the more secure our wallets will be. Therefore, it's important for everyone to read and share the Pioneer Handbook I wrote which has been translated into 30 languages to raise awareness among pioneers. This was Denchik. The 29 year-old’s real name was Denis Opara. I was once told that being born in Ukraine is karmic punishment for past sins, and Opara’s past life must have been particularly wicked — he was born in Ukraine black and mentally challenged. Bullied cruelly in school, he was given three years in jail for stealing a pair of sneakers. Denchik lost his teeth in prison from the constant beatings. When he got out, he vowed to stay on the straight on narrow. So he became ‘Denchik’, a street performer amidst the gypsies and cartwheeling monkeys on Khreschatyk street in central Kiev. More than a million people subscribed to his tiktok. He was overjoyed to bring a smile or a laugh to people’s faces. Despite his popularity, Denchik’s life remained a brutal one. He continued to endure regular beatings and humiliations. In 2021, he was beaten by nationalists for singing popular Russian pop songs. Those calling him a trash blogger probably weren’t wrong. He spent part of 2025 in a psychiatric facility. At the start of 2026, Denchik was mobilized into the armed forces of Ukraine while on the way to a night club. He put out a few videos in uniform, declaring that he’d sworn to defend the people of Ukraine. He also gave a ‘big, big thank you to Volodymyr Zelensky!’ He also called for the president to vote for him in the next elections. Curiously, these lines were said with a voice that seemed on the brink of tears. On June 21, Denchik died. He hadn’t reached the front lines. The official cause of death was pneumonia. Pneumonia claims many lives in the Ukrainian army. Especially lately. But Denchik, like many others perishing in this manner, was a physically healthy young man. He also died in the sweltering month of June, seemingly not the typical conditions for pneumonia. And he put out a video 6 days before his death, where he seemed quite fine. Unsurprisingly, many in the comments doubt Denchik died merely of pneumonia. In fact, based on the endless news stories about deaths just like Denchik’s, it is possible to hypothethesize about what really happened. Let’s assume Denchik really did die of pneumonia. This can and does happen for several reasons. First, because the newly mobilized are kept together in dank, badly ventilated dungeons. This is done to prevent them from escaping and impress upon them the total power of their new military overlords. Though Denchik was mobilized several months ago, he could have been infected by new recruits. It’s also quite likely that Denchik wasn’t entirely appreciated by his new commanders. As we’ll see later in today’s article, drug addicts are regularly beaten to death or prevented from accessing their state-prescribed methadone treatments. Denchik’s commanders probably weren’t overjoyed to have been gifted a mentally challenged tiktoker, and it is not inconceivable that he didn’t meet their demands, in terms of discipline and physical capacities. Maybe they found drugs on him, which some commanders believes warrants the death sentence. Maybe Denchik simply didn’t want to kill. He doesn’t seem like much of a killer. Unfortunately for him, it’s kill or be killed in the Ukrainian army. Evropa won’t defend itself, after all. So maybe Denchik was punished. Beaten, not for the first time in his life. Maybe he was thrown into a pit to wait out drug withdrawals. Lying in a muddy hole for a few days is a good way to catch pneumonia, especially if you’re already nursing some broken bones. Wow. WOW. WOOOOOOOW. So um, that first Wildcard+Thousands stream was... *amazing* and also... a *lot* 😅 In the end, it was *exactly* what we were hoping for - a true stress test of ALL these systems coming together for the first time. We are SO grateful for the thousands of people who showed up today to play, attend, tune-in and help us PLAYTEST all this new stuff. We can't wait to see you all again at NEXT WEEK'S EX2 EVENT! So, now let's talk about how it went... Stuff that worked: - Our community SHOWED UP. Oh boy did you show up 😅. Our servers were straining under the load... which is good actually, in fact it's the whole point. Even more importantly, we have already received insanely valuable feedback, bug reports, stuff people loved/hated - and it's only been a few hours since the stream ended. I can't even explain to y'all how valuable this process is. Yes it's stressful, it reminds me of trying to keep Words With Friends online during that first insane year, but it's EXACTLY what we were hoping for (NEED) to turn this into the polished, top-notch game and streaming experience we are on a mission to deliver. I truly can't thank y'all enough, and hope to see you again when we run it all back again next week 🥹 - The stream itself stayed up and was mostly stable! Phew 😅. For context, ThousandsTV is not a twitch wrapper, it's a web3-native streaming tech stack built we built specifically to connect game, web/mobile, and blockchain together all at the same time. There are a LOT of moving pieces going on behind the scenes. - We brought viewers INTO THE GAME! Viewers showed up in the stands of the arena, with connected wallets/assets, triggered actions/rallies from chat, and were seen and heard during the whole stream. - The brand new 2v2 build of Wildcard was (mostly) stable and our players and viewers seemed to be having a blast down on the field and up in the stands. It was thrilling to watch Team Blue dominate, even though Team Red held their own in game 3! - Our production crew did an insanely good job running the stream, managing the players, shoutcasters, and talent, and producing a top-notch show. Of course we will work hard to make every stream better than the last, but I was super proud of how our team "rolled with the punches" during today's event. Stuff that didn't work (and/or needs to be dramatically improved): - Although it's fun to see chat going crazy, chat spam is actually something we are passionate to FIX. As you can see from the attached video, chat spam dominated today's stream and made it impossible for anyone to even see anyone else's messages. We have some GREAT ideas for how to fix this and actually turn chat spam into a FUN and exciting and not annoying thing - but those improvements didn't get shipped in time for this event. - Credits purchasing flow needs a LOT of work. As I'm sure y'all know, bringing money on chain is pretty complicated, and although we've been working hard to make this as seamless as possible, it still needs a TON of improvements. Many users who WANTED to spend money today weren't able to and/or ran into frustrating bugs in the credit purchase flow. Fixing this is obviously a top priority for our team. - Rallies need a LOT of work. Spectator-interactive features like rallies are at the heart of our vision for Wildcard. These "stream apps", as we call them, are the UNLOCK for how spectators, viewers and fans directly connect and interact with their favorite competitors, content creators, and communities. The current rally feature HINTS at this potential, but it needs to be WAY easier to understand, use, and have fun with. Improvements are ON THE WAY. - Referees were only partially working. Referees are a key innovation of the Thousands platform. They are AI-driven "personalities" (NPCs) that pay attention to everything that's happening in the arena, both on the field and especially in the stands (i.e. in chat, during rallies, etc.) The referees then make "calls" at the end of every match, rewarding users for their engagement and participation. Unfortunately, the referees weren't fully functional and seemed to drop the ball on recognizing everyone's contributions (especially people who showed up holding valuable assets such as Wildpasses in their wallets, and people who boosted those rallies with credits.) What's happening next: 1. We are combing through ALL the logs from the event right now, to make sure we don't miss a SINGLE action that our viewers and fans took during the event, including what they brought in their wallets (i.e. Wildpass holders!), any credits that were purchased, rallies that users engaged with, etc. This information is normally processed by our referees, who then determine dynamically how they're going to distribute $WC awards. We were originally hoping to complete this process and the subsequent airdrops within a few hours after the event, but given the amount of data, we need a bit more time to run these scripts (and airdrops) in batches instead of all at once, and make sure ALL of the data is being included. IMPORTANT: I will keep y'all updated in real-time here on twitter/X as this process is ongoing, and let you know the moment it's complete and all the awards have been distributed (i.e. when to go check your wallets 😎) 2. PLEASE keep sending us your feedback and bug reports. Open a ticket on our Discord and let us know what you loved, what you hated, and especially what we need to FIX. Given the overwhelming response to this event, it will likely take us several days to process everyone's feedback and fix all the bugs, but we WILL NOT REST until every ticket is closed/resolved.
