The Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdoğan expressed public support for Hamas just days after the October 7 massacre in Israel. He justified the rape and murder of Israeli civilians by Hamas terrorists and described Hamas as a “liberation group” (source attached below). Under the Islamic blasphemy law in Turkey, no one is allowed to insult or mock the Prophet Muhammad, Islam or the Turkish President Erdogan. This is the “authority” people want the "Palestinian Authority" to be? A terror worshiping authority. Quoting him is Hani Al-Masri, Director General of Masarat, the Palestinian Center for Policy Research and Strategic Studies. He’s also a Board of Trustees member at the Yasser Arafat Foundation. This injustice against our Palestinian brothers and sisters deeply offends the conscience of humanity. Let it be known that although President Abbas is unable to be with us here in person, we will, as we did last year, continue to be the voice of a free and sovereign state of Palestine.
