Its literally basic highway night etiquette, you flick the headlights on dipper when you're passing someone. Nobody knows basic driving rules anymore.

My worst pet peeve when driving on side roads. Especially when you accidentally flip them coming over a hill and the other driver decides to blind you the whole way in retaliation 😭

I own a Honda that has AutoBrights and it will just randomly decide to turn them on despite cars being right in front of me. Worst feature I've ever seen in a car. Have to manually disable it every time I get in the car.

Not enough people are outraged by this shit, I am photosensitive but I like driving at night but it’s so fucking difficult when every stupid driver has either high beams on or 90 thousand extra lights on their car (jeeps and trucks)

Perks of having a retired police car with functional spotlights is not only are they bright as shit, you can keep the beam aimed at the asshats with their highbeams on 🥰

My buddy has a challenger with bright white dual flood lights that light up a couple hundred feet. It's perfect for people like that

Flashing brights is commonplace and is actually taught here. Also they didn't turn them off until after they passed us so they weren't paying attention regardless :/

People don’t care anymore. Flashing your lights does nothing. I just leave mine on until they pass me. If they’re gonna have their brights on, so am I. LED lights are the worst. They should be outlawed.

the worst part, there's only like 5 brands that sell LEDs that are DOT approved for on road use and none of them are that much brighter than the Xenon incandescents because they can't legally be much brighter than that

Only time I turn bright's on is on dark roads during known deer runs.. soon as I see headlights of another car I turn them off. But holy shit the number of folks that DO NOT.. legit had a cop car at me with brights on and I flashed mine - he pulls me over and im like dude BRIGHT

Unfortunately, many normal headlights are this bright, it isn't just the brights being on.

people in my area legit just leave them on. headlight time = high beams in your face constantly. its wildly dangerous here too with the winding mountain roads, and its just a smooth brained inconsiderate move.

At that point I just put mine on high back at them. That's too many heads up flashes lol

I live off of a two lane road like this now and the amount of people who do this shit. So much so that I actually noticed when someone turned off their brights when I was approaching, i wanted to thank them

I think it's the law here that you have to turn off your high beams within 200m of another vehicle
