Mom taught US history in the 80s and 90s and has always spoken for the repealing of the Electoral College in favor of the popular vote. Electoral College and gerrymandering are just fancy words for cheating.

We need to get rid of the electoral votes period!

The USA will never be a true democracy until the Electoral College is scrapped and the only number of votes that matter is the total number of votes cast by the public for each candidate in any election regardless of state rules.

There is zero chance that SCOTUS will allow the Compact to stand, and probably rightly so. If you want to abolish the Electoral College, the process for that is a very difficult constitutional amendment.

This is not breaking news. Someone in power CAN make a difference and this is how Trump was voted into office twice. He is the guy who will do what he wants and in his first term, he did good things early before falling back into greed and narcissistic behaviors.

All elections should be run under federal laws not individual state laws and any amendments to peoples voting rights and locations must be under those federal laws. No presidential candidate should be permitted to spend more than $10 million on publicity nationally.
