turning $250 into $1,200 ✨
31 Comments

Am i only one who thinks it was beautiful before?😭

In 10 years: “Watch as I remove this paint and restore this old wooden furniture.”

"Painted over beautiful wood grain for that trendy look... and flipped for 5x profit. DIY capitalism at its finest! 😂💸"

How to ruin a beautiful set of vintage furniture ✨

I wish I could press a dislike button on this post. The "before" product was better than the "after" product unfortunately. But to each their own!

It looked infinitey better, the top is all you had to do, you should feel repulsed for this denaturation

Special places in hell for those that paint beautiful wood.

If you spend $1,200 on something painted with hinges still on that’s on you.

I just can't with these f*cking women. They paint over everything!! No matter if its beautiful stained furniture.

You just trashed a beautiful piece of wooden furniture with shitty spray paint. I wouldn't pay $20 bucks for that at a thrift store

I'm almost 30 and I still don't understand the obsession with painting over the natural beauty of wood grain. 😑 Such is the way of individual minds though. For my own way of thinking, there's an opposite and everything in between..

Preferred the before

You had a beautiful furniture and turned it into soulless IKEA-styled thing.

Turning $250 into a murder conviction.

*turning $250 into asking $1200. Notice how these almost never showcase items that have been sold. It’s always available and waaaaay overpriced. People paying that much for furniture aren’t shopping on TikTok. They’re either buying custom hardwood, or going to a store.

So she pulls the door handle hardware but masks off the hinges?

How many hours were spent on this and what was the cost of the other materials?

That’s a lot of work to make $950

...with only $3000 worth of labor. Brilliant!

Such a waste of time and beautiful antic look when she could have bought the same stuff she ended up with at IKEA.

Is the $1,200 what it cost to have that hauled to the dump?

Vais me foutre en l'air

what was the point of wasting all the time to clean and wipe down the top of the piece if you're just going to go behind it and strip It off with a planer and sander anyways?

Craftsmanship is a lost art form.

Women love to paint furniture.

Why mask the hinges with the doors installed? Remove the doors, remove the hinges, have a much cleaner result.

I never understand the need to paint over hardwoods, or brick for that matter. Or why anyone would pay premium for painted hardwood. Stain is the height of luxury. Paint is for poplar and cheap pine from ikea.

painting over the existing finish, that’ll scratch off if you look at it the wrong way lol

best i can do is 150$ ... and I'm taking a risk, the chemicals to remove the paint ain't cheep...

Ok. Where one can find those pieces of furniture for $250?

These videos are usually terrible and this is no exception.
