#EastEnders WHAT A DUFF DUFF! 😢💔😱 RIP ZOE SLATER 💔😢 ( 18th September 2000 - 10th September 2026) Devastating scenes at the Vic where Kat makes a horrifying discovery when she discovers Zoe's lifeless body on her bed in the middle of the night. 💔😢 Whatever you thought of Zoe's character regardless of how she was written etc - this was the worst way for her character to be killed off. 20 years of history completly wasted on one of the shows biggest legacy character. Zoe was Kat's first and only daughter which makes Zoe's death even more unbearable to think about. 💔😢 I feel like this death was a complete disjustice not just to Zoe Slater as a character but also Michelle Ryan as well. Yes it was Michelle's decision to leave but I wish that Ben Wadey invested in her character a lot more - A year ago Zoe's return scenes were extraordinary - it felt like a major turning point for the show and the potential was there to explore Zoe's character and history after 20 years away it's such a shame that they went down the Anthony/Where is my son plot - the storyline was plotty with a complete lack of direction and it made Kat Alfie and Zoe completly unlikeable as characters. The fact that Max was also the last person to see Zoe alive is laughable given he slept with her for no reason then secured the evidence which proved Zoe didn't kill Anthony and then they didn't share scenes since. Now it looks like the solisitation to murder angle might come off the back of Zoe's death when he gets framed for it. I also refuse to believe that Zoe is killed off by what looked like a very minor blow to the head - yet she survived from a gunshot wound a year ago and Kat moved heaven on earth to protect her and try to get her to hospital. I also hate how that story wasn't even revisited - So Jack and Ravi just got away with what they did by framing the guy that Zoe attacked a year ago - Don't get me started on why Zoe and Max even slept together in the first place - was it just to give Max another reason to sleep with a Slater following his history with Stacey. The Zoe flashback episode a year ago had potential I just wish they didn't go down the route of finding her children when they intended to kill her off anyway - I mean what was the point. I mean not only has Zoe died from a simple blow to the head the same way Anthony did which feels embarrassing but now Jasmine and Josh have lost both of their parents within the space of a year and whether you like the characters or not that is devastating when you take into account their upbringing. 💔😢 I wonder what will happen to Josh and Jasmine now that Zoe is dead? Will Oscar leave with one of the twins when the Flashforward mystery is resolved ? And what will happen next when they find out what has happend? Let's not forget that Jasmine's stall is meant to be open now and we haven't even seen her working on it yet. Why is there so much plotty writting and lack of continuity in Zoe's storyline? Did Wadey just not care about the character enough? Or did he not understand the history of the character etc. As much as I found Zoe's death heartbreaking - including the sheer shock from Kat when she made the disvovery - the opening moments of this scene were really symbolic. The blowing leafs almost symbolising the decline in Zoe and Kat's relationship before they found each other again and it reminded me of Lola's death with the fox as well in 2023 which was really powerful. Jessie Wallace was hauntingly sensational in this final scene 💔😢. The short sharp shock from Kat where the guilt and grief washes over her as she struggles to come to terms with what has happend to Zoe. The way Kat will blame herself is devastating especially as she wasn't there when Zoe had her accident. I'm not ready to see Kat Slater in her grief era it'll be so heartbreaking to watch. If you were EP which storylines would you have given Zoe? RIP ZOE SLATER! GONE BUT NEVER FORGOTTEN! 💔😢🥺
