3-on-1 Brawl Erupts on Pattaya’s Walking Street as Thais Appear to Gang Up on Lone Foreign Tourist A violent street fight involving three Thai men against a single foreign tourist was captured on video in the early hours of Wednesday morning in the heart of Pattaya’s famous Walking Street. The incident, which occurred around 4 a.m. on May 27th, was shared by the popular local Facebook page “Pattaya One Day, Thousand Stories.” The 46-second clip shows the three Thais, two of whom were wearing black vests resembling security guard uniforms from entertainment venues, confronting and assaulting the lone foreigner in the middle of the road. In the footage, both sides adopt Muay Thai stances before the fight escalates into a chaotic brawl. The three Thai men repeatedly attempt to swarm and punch the tourist, who fights back vigorously. At one point, one of the Thais is knocked to the ground, but the group quickly regroups. One Thai man delivers a powerful punch to the foreigner’s face, causing him to drop to his knees. The Thais then continue their assault in an attack until a friend of the tourist, wearing a white shirt, intervenes to stop the beating. The clip ends abruptly shortly after. The original post carried a mocking caption in Thai that read roughly: “When the farang wants to try Thai boxing… the guards open the ring! Thai service-hearted guards offer a special promotion: ‘Buy 1, get plenty free’, cleared OTOP style.” A reporter from The Pattaya News visited the scene around 8:30 a.m. near a Agogo bar in a side soi off Walking Street. More footage, this time from CCTV, of the massive street brawl in Small Heath, Birmingham, on Sunday. Two people were arrested on suspicion of violent disorder following the incident outside Noor-Ul-Uloom mosque, on the corner of Sommerville Road and St Oswalds Road, at around 5.15pm. Police said the incident was not connected to the mosque and arrested a 16-year-old boy on suspicion of violent disorder and a 29-year-old man on suspicion of the same offence and assaulting an emergency worker Detectives said no-one was seriously injured. Chief Insp Haroon Chughtai said: “We have carried out enquiries and after speaking with various members of the community, and after initial CCTV enquiries, we are satisfied the incident is not linked to the mosque. “We understand the concerns of the community, and we will be carrying out reassurance patrols in the area.”

A young Russian couple who run a cryptocurrency business were kidnapped and later released in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Palermo after a ransom of $43,000 in digital currency was paid. The incident occurred Friday night in a building at 1596 Ravignani Street, at the intersection with Gorriti Street. According to investigative sources, the couple had been invited to dinner by two Chechens who were occupying a first-floor apartment. Around 11 p.m., the 30-year-old female victim began calling for help in English from her balcony. This caught the attention of the employees of the neighboring restaurant, who immediately called 911. When a City Police vehicle arrived at the scene, they found the woman and her partner, a 27-year-old man, tied up. The victims recounted what had happened and accused the two Chechens who had rented the apartment the previous two nights. After identifying the prime suspects, the Argentine Federal Police (PFA) confirmed that both fled the country by plane in the hours following the incident. They allegedly took a flight from Ezeiza to the United Arab Emirates. Both have already been issued an Interpol red alert.

Officers were called at 15.49 yesterday (9 January) to reports of an assault with weapons. No injuries have been reported. A short while later another call was made reporting a road traffic collision between a Mitsubishi Shogun and Audi RS6 at the junction of Dudley Hill Road and Harrogate Road. Fire crews were called to the mosque on Phyllis Avenue in Peacehaven at about 21:50 BST on Saturday.
