Two customers were already inside RedHartBrewing when ~50 Alberta independence supporters arrived. We bought drinks, supported the business and caused no problems. They said nothing to us inside. After they left, one driver revved his vehicle and sped away. Another rolled down his window, shouted insults at us, noticed...

@RedHartBrewing Why do you traitors think that you are worthy of respect? You are trying to screw over 75% of patriotic Canadian Albertans and you are forcing them to pay what is well over $150 million to have a referendum that you are clearly going to lose. Total waste.

I was in Rocky Mountain House recently for a massive pro Alberta independence rally. Hundreds of people were waving Alberta flags and driving around town, and I found a small group of about seven pro-Canada counter protesters and decided to engage them. One man challenged me. He said that if Alberta independence loses, I should give up. I told him plainly that yes, if we lose, I will respect the will of the voters. Then I asked him the same question back. If Alberta wins, will you accept it? He reluctantly said yes, but the moment I pressed him on what percentage he would accept, he would not even engage with the argument. He would not clearly accept a majority. That tells you a lot. For too many on the pro-Canada side, this is not really about democracy. It is about imposing their will on Albertans who disagree with them, then using shame and fear to pressure us into silence. The second part of his argument was that the independence movement is hurting investment in Alberta. My answer was that Ottawa already did that and we have nothing to loose. For years, federal policy has blocked pipelines, restricted market access, and damaged confidence in Alberta’s future. Then, when Albertans finally start pushing back, we are told that we are the problem. He even claimed there is no tanker ban. That is factually false. Canada’s Oil Tanker Moratorium Act does restrict large crude oil and persistent-oil tankers from stopping, loading, or unloading at ports on BC’s north coast. The details matter, but the broader point stands: Ottawa has put real barriers in the way of Alberta getting its resources to market. His response was basically, if that is true, then why is Alberta still so rich and prosperous? My answer was simple: because we work hard, we have a lot going for us, and it takes a lot to sink us. But that does not prove Canada is working. It proves Alberta is strong enough to keep carrying a country that keeps dragging us down. Canada feels more and more like a sinking ship, and Alberta is the last thing holding it up. That is why I support independence. Please sign the petition. Go to to find a signing location near you. This video captures something people need to see. I was having a polite conversation with a reasonable man who supports staying in Canada. We disagreed, but we were talking respectfully. Meanwhile, from way across the field, another Forever Canadian apparently spotted me and made a straight line toward me, visibly angry. I never saw him coming. I was recording over my shoulder, so the camera could see what I couldn’t. He approached quickly from directly behind me, and just before he reached me, a random bystander saw what was happening and stepped between us. I’m extremely grateful that he did. The man approaching me was shouting that I wasn’t allowed in the park, that this was “his park,” that I wasn’t allowed to be there, and that I was being disrespectful. The bystander stood his ground, exchanged a few choice words with him, and eventually got him turned around. Watching the footage afterward was unsettling. From my perspective, this man appeared to be approaching me aggressively from behind, and I had absolutely no idea he was there. There is something revealing about the contrast in this video. The man I was actually interviewing supports remaining in Canada, yet we were able to have a civil and reasonable disagreement. In many ways, reasonable centrists probably agree with Alberta independence supporters about a great deal—right up until the question of actually becoming independent. Then there is another faction: people who seem to treat peaceful advocacy for Alberta independence as something that makes us enemies. That attitude has consequences. People publicly supporting Alberta independence have already faced aggressive confrontations. We have seen supporters shoved, threatened, and in one particularly disturbing incident, an older man was pushed toward traffic and could have been seriously hurt. I don’t go looking for confrontations. I would much rather talk to people. But I’m also not going to be intimidated out of peacefully expressing my political beliefs. And this is where the leadership of the Forever Canada movement needs to think very carefully about their rhetoric. When political leaders repeatedly throw around words like “traitor” and “treason” to describe Albertans participating in a peaceful, democratic and lawful political process, some unstable people are going to take those words literally. If you convince someone that his political opponent is genuinely a traitor, it becomes much easier for that person to convince himself that aggression is justified. That is an incredibly dangerous road to go down. Albertans advocating independence are operating within Canada’s legal and democratic system. We are talking, organizing, campaigning and trying to persuade our neighbors. That disagreement should be settled with arguments and ballots—not intimidation. The full conversation with the reasonable Forever Canadian I was speaking with will be released soon. But I wanted to publish this part first because people should see what happened behind me—and because I’m very grateful to the stranger who saw the situation developing and stepped in before I even knew what was happening.

I was at a massive Pro Independence rally in Rocky Mountain House and there was a small counter protest (7 people). One of the Forever Canada guys said Alberta independence supporters should not be using the poppy. Even if a veteran supports Alberta independence, thats wrong in his eyes! If you're a veteran tell me what you think. I’m not in the military, so I’m not going to pretend I speak for them, but I have a strong suspicion many veterans would reject the idea that support for Alberta independence cancels out their right to wear a poppy. He also appealed to his grandfather fighting in the war for Canada. I treated that seriously, because I do respect that. But then I asked the obvious question: what did his grandfather actually fight for? That should have been the easiest answer in the world. He could have said freedom of speech, freedom of religion, basic liberty, self-government, or the rights that make a country worth defending. But the only real answer he could give was the freedom to survive here". That answer stuck with me, because it reveals something deeper than I think he meant to reveal. Too many pro-Canada arguments today sound like that. Not a vision of freedom. Not a belief in sovereignty. Not even a confident defence of rights. Just survival. That is the irony. The people accusing Alberta independence supporters of being dangerous often sound like they have given up on the very idea of living freely and building something better. They do not speak like people with a dream. They speak like people hanging on. Then, after all that, he pushed the claim that the UCP are “banning books.” That is incredibly disingenuous. The issue is sexually explicit material in school libraries. The facts are easy to find, and reducing that debate to “book banning” is a dishonest slogan designed to inflame people instead of inform them. And yes, I think defending that kind of material in schools is shameful. If that is the hill some pro-Canada activists want to die on, they should at least be honest about what they are defending. This whole exchange says a lot. Alberta independence supporters are constantly asked to explain what we are for, while Canada’s defenders too often fall back on emotional slogans, weak smears, and a vision of life that amounts to little more than survival. For us Albertans, this movement is about Freedom! We want a society that reflects our values and protects our rights and we have the will do make that happen. Please sign the petition! 🚨 We're launching an Alberta independence campaign — and this is why we had to do it We’re going 'all in' on the independence referendum on October 19. I have major news to share with you. We are officially launching Act For Alberta — a legally registered third-party campaign group supporting the Alberta independence petition drive, which is ending on May 2, 2026. When Alberta independence goes to a referendum later this Fall, Act for Alberta will also be there. "Third party" doesn't mean we're forming a political party. Think of it as a SuperPAC: the same kind of organization we've set up federally for past elections. In Alberta, this registration is the only legal path for us toadvertise in support of Alberta independence, both during the petition drive, and during this Fall’s referendum. If we don't register, Elections Alberta can — and will — prosecute us. So: reason number one is legal protection. Act for Alberta will advocate fearlessly in favour of the Yes campaign, you know the bureaucrats would come for us otherwise. Reason number two is that the mainstream media, and the entire establishment — every major political party, every major media outlet, every union, every TV talk show — is going to go to war against Alberta. Alberta is about to be overrun by pro-Liberal, pro-Carney, anti-Alberta propaganda. Someone needs to fight back. Reason number three is even more simple: we genuinely believe in this independence referendum, and we believe Albertans should have their say. Two weeks ago, a citizens' petition with more than 170,000 signatures was submitted to trigger a constitutional referendum on Alberta independence. I love the idea of a referendum. Let the people speak! There are issues that politicians refuse to touch because they're too scared or politically correct — and Alberta independence is exactly the kind of thing ordinary people talk about privately that official people are terrified to mention publicly. Now, ordinary people get a vote, even if politicians are afraid. This is your chance to be part of it. Please visit our website at right now to learn more and find out how you can help — before this campaign really heats up. Here’s what's at stake. Quebec has had two independence referendums — the last one came within 0.5% of passing — and no one called them traitors for it. The Supreme Court of Canada has confirmed these votes are legal. Parliament passed the Clarity Act specifically to govern how such a vote works. And yet when Albertans ask for the same democratic remedy, the regime media calls it treason, and government lawyers line up to say why only Quebec gets those votes, not Albertans. Why the double standard? Because the establishment makes a very good living off Alberta, and they will say and do anything to protect that arrangement. Alberta sends $20 billion a year to Ottawa — only to have its pipelines blocked, its oil tankers banned (while OPEC tankers sail freely into eastern ports), and its workers ruled out of senior federal jobs for not speaking French. Here's the question I keep coming back to: if Alberta were its own country today, would it vote to join Ottawa on these terms? I doubt it. Visit to see how we're going to make that case. going to fight on the Yes side using real professional campaign tools: TV ads, digital ads, our billboard truck, and public events. Because every powerful institution in Canada has already lined up against this referendum. Alberta needs a fearless, unapologetic voice on the other side. That's us. We need your help. Please go to to join us. The independence referendum is October 19th, barely six months away. Elections Alberta bureaucrats would love nothing more than to prosecute Rebel News for daring to speak up during this campaign. So we registered Act For Alberta as a third-party campaign group. Now they can't touch us. We're going all in - stand with us. This is the exact playbook Quebec used — twice. The separatist Bloc Québécois has sat in Parliament for decades and no one blinks. The Parti Québécois is currently leading the polls in Quebec. But when Albertans ask for the same democratic conversation, the regime calls it treason. That double standard is exactly why this referendum matters — and why we're fighting for it. Alberta sends $20 billion to Ottawa every year. In return: blocked pipelines, cancelled LNG projects, banned oil tankers, and sneers at us because they think Alberta has nowhere else to go. Well, now Alberta does have somewhere else to go. The U.S. has already said they'd buy Alberta oil if Alberta were independent.

The Conservative Party has an Alberta problem — a big one It's not because Alberta has abandoned the Conservatives, but because Alberta's Conservative voters might be outgrowing Ottawa, and we have the poll numbers to prove it. A new @ActForAlberta poll shows something remarkable: 66% of Conservative Party of Canada supporters in Alberta support independence; 51% strongly support it. Another 15% somewhat support it. That is not a fringe. That is not a handful of angry keyboard warriors. That is the federal Conservatives' Western engine room looking at Confederation and saying: maybe this deal is done. And that explains something important about the way Pierre Poilievre and the federal Conservatives talk about Alberta independence. They oppose it, of course. They have to. The Conservative Party of Canada cannot win without Alberta. Take Alberta out of Confederation and the CPC loses its safest seats, its donor base, its volunteer army, and its moral claim to represent Western Canada. Without Alberta, there may never be another Conservative government in Ottawa again. So yes, they are against independence. But notice what they are not doing. They are not going full Liberal-style Project Fear. They are not screaming that Albertans are stupid, racist, reckless, dangerous separatists who need to be shamed back into line. Why? Because they can read a poll. If two-thirds of your own Alberta supporters back independence, you cannot sneer at them without blowing up your own base. You cannot smear them as extremists when they are your riding presidents, your donors, your door-knockers, your sign crews, your voters. So, the CPC is trapped. Ottawa needs Alberta to stay. But Alberta conservatives are increasingly asking: what exactly are we staying for?

Bolt Africa Bolt💔⁉️🇿🇦 I am submitting a formal complaint regarding a Bolt trip during which I was placed in serious danger due to the drvers negligent and unsafe conduct.... I was picked up in Johannesburg and noticed while we were travelling on the N1 towards Randburg that the driver appeared extremely tired. The vehicle repeatedly moved onto the white lane markings, and I had to alert the driver that we were driving on top of the lines..... Shortly afterwards, i observed through the rear-view mirror that the driver was repeatedly closing his eyes while driving. Concerned for my safety, l recorded a video because I intended to report the incident. .... "In the videos attached, you can clearly see that the driver's eyes were closing while he was driving. The footage shows him repeatedly struggling to keep his eyes open, which put my safety and the safety of other road users at risk." The driver's eyes were visibly closing while the vehicle was moving at speed on a busy highway At one point, the driver appeared to fall asleep while driving and the vehicle started moving into other lanes while his eyes were closed. I had to tap his shoulder to wake him up. A few minutes later, I believed he had recovered, but as we approached a traffic light l noticed that the traffic signal was red and the driver was not slowing down. Instead, the vehicle continued accelerating. When I looked again, I saw that his eyes were closed. I immediately tapped him again, but he was unable to avoid a collision and crashed into a Ford vehicle Fortunately, I was seated in the back and was not seriously injured, although! experienced pain in my knee immediately after the collision. The police attended the scene following the accident. What concerns me most is that this accident appears to have been caused by the driver's fatigue and repeated loss of attention while operating the vehicle. leven provided video evidence to the driver of the Ford because the Bolt driver was blaming the other driver despite having fallen asleep behind the wheel Passengers trust Bolt to provide safe transportation. A driver who is too tired to remain awake should not be accepting trips, as this places passengers and other road users at risk of serious injury or death. I request that Bolt conduct a full investigation into this incident, review any available trip data and the video evidence, and take appropriate action regarding the driver's conduct. I would also appreciate confirmation that this complaint has been received and information on the outcome of the investigation.

A few days ago Kathy Flett (insert Alberta flag here) and I had a woman walk up to us in the park and tell us she disagreed with Alberta independence. To be clear, I was already obviously recording our conversation with a LARGE camera. She said she didn’t want to be recorded, but then continued engaging in the conversation while the camera was still there. My position is simple: if you keep talking to someone who is clearly recording in a public place, that is consent enough for me. And in public, consent to record is not required anyway. It’s just a polite thing to ask or respect when possible. That said, I still blurred her identifiable features and even adjusted her voice because I’m not trying to embarrass anyone. I’m trying to have real conversations with Albertans. She talked about immigrating to Canada from Ireland as a child, how her family chose Canada because of Canadian values, and how she worries Alberta is moving away from things like a social safety net, education, professions, and liberal democracy. I don’t agree with her conclusion, but I do think the conversation revealed something important. A lot of people who oppose Alberta independence are angry at the Alberta government. Fair enough. So am I on many issues. But my answer is not to cling harder to a broken Canadian system. My answer is to ask whether the system itself is the problem. If both Ottawa and Edmonton keep failing people, then the answer isn’t more of the same. Alberta Independence is about the power to build something better.

The battles in Sweida, which everyone had heard about, took place. Some people came to us and told us that the Bedouin tribal sheikhs and the Druze sheikhs had agreed that we would remain brothers and that no problems would arise. Then they returned to us in the evening and told us not to leave our homes and that no one would harm us. I stayed in my home because I was going to work the next day. My husband and child stayed with me. My husband is sick and needs a joint replacement, so we did not leave. But our neighbors left their homes and fled the area. The next day, the Druze militia returned to our area and installed heavy weapons on a nearby hill, despite their promise not to harm us. They then targeted families and civilians in the neighborhood with mortar shells. We were directly targeted for two hours despite our attempts to flee the area. Then the Hajri militia searched every house individually, armed with handguns and rifles. They asked us if we had money, phones, weapons, or identification. We told them we were civilians, didn't have any weapons, and didn't know how to use them. My husband, a civilian, didn't know how to use them. I told them there was only a sick man and my child, and we were all trying to take shelter in our house. They told me I was now a prisoner. They also captured my husband and covered his face with the shirt he was wearing. I told them we were neighbors from Amad, and yesterday you had promised us safety and that we wouldn't be targeted. Why are you doing this to us now? They told me no. Then they did the same thing to the rest of the houses in the area. After that, someone came to us and, by chance, he knew my husband before. He hid us in one of the houses, gave us water to drink, and allowed my child to use the bathroom. He was kind and respectful, while the rest were just a criminal gang. Then they gathered everyone they had captured in the mosque. When I entered the mosque, I found many dead people. I found one of the children beheaded, and his mother was my neighbor. Did you see what happened? I saw them because the militia brought all the bodies to the mosque for burial. I saw one of our neighbors, who had difficulty moving due to rheumatism, and they shot him in the feet. Then they took him away, claiming they were going to treat him. Instead, they killed him in front of the mosque. This is what I saw with my own eyes. After that, because I was a nurse, they brought the injured to the mosque for treatment, even though they claimed they were taking them to the hospital. One of the family members was a doctor. I saw five of their injuries with my own eyes, all of them children. Then they made successive promises that they would release us that same day. The guards who escorted us were respectful. As for food, they offered us a cup of bulgur for every five people. I'm now trying to remember the details of what happened. There wasn't enough water, and we were over 1,000 prisoners. Why were they holding you? They told us we were prisoners, promising us they would release us. We held our belongings by the door, waiting for our release. Were they viewing you as civilian prisoners? We are prisoners of Of course. They held us captive so they could force us out of our homes and out of Sweida Governorate. I remember them asking me, "Why didn't you leave your home?" I told them you came to us yesterday, promised us safety, and told us not to leave our homes. out, so now they are asking why. When in reality, they wanted to forcibly displace us from our homes. Where are you now? We are now in Daraa Governorate. They brought us here today. 1/2 #SaveSweidaBedouins #AlHijriGangsKillChildren #Syria
