Insane video shows the drastic change in water level and devastation caused by the flooding in Western NC. Jay-Paul Thibault in Burnsville, NC filmed how quickly the water rose and the destruction that followed. Unfortunately this is the sad reality for hundreds if not thousands of families. Please keep praying, keep giving, keep sharing, and keep helping. I'll link to his GoFundMe to rebuild in the next post. 0:02 - The Distance From the River to the Bottom of the Bridge is 22 Feet Thu 9/26 - 8:48 AM 0:09 - "The water's already up about 5 feet I'm guessing... so it's pretty intense." Fri 9/27 - 7:34 AM 1:27 - "This is the road [completely under water] and there's no crossing on 19W." Fri 9/27 - 8:14 AM 1:48 - "I was just told this flood is going to exceed the flood of 1916 which dwarfed the flood of 1977." (The water is at the 1000-year level) 3:46 - "I think I'm going to lose the bridge." Fri 9/27 - 8:27 AM 5:56 - "Well there's not much I can do about it but the bridge is gone. I've got no way over there until we repair that." Fri 9/27 - 8:37 AM 6:28 - "So I'm safe and I'm at the Fire Station. We're gonna wait it out here." Fri 9/27 - 8:49 AM 6:56 - "We've got some trucks that got swept away and this is getting pretty crazy... there's the house that was just refinished and that looks like it could get swept away. I hope it doesn't. That's Jeff's house. I'd say we're close to 20 feet over the regular height of the river." Fri 9/27 - 10:10 AM 8:56 - "So we are now on the roof [on top of trucks in the fire station garage] hanging out watching the river go by and we've got about 6 more feet before it's at our feet here now." Fri 9/27 - 10:42 AM 9:13 - "We are punching our way out of the roof at this point in case the flood continues [cutting a hole in the ceiling with an ax to get to the roof of the fire station]. As you can see, everything in here is floating away." Fri 9/27 - 11:51 AM 9:43 - "Holy sh!t is all I can say [while on top of the roof]. The entire dump station is gone; the building, the trash containers." Fri 9/27 - 12:02 PM 12:08 - "Look at the house. Holy sh!t. That's going downstream... That house is just floating away. Been there for 100 years probably." Fri 9/27 - 3:08 PM 14:35 - "So I found my pickup truck [upside down and completely destroyed]." Fri 9/27 - 3:09 PM 14:47 - "So here's the road, or what's left of it." 16:34 - "All of my building is gone; all the construction I did... everything I own... everything that I built is gone. I don't know how to express this. The whole farm here is gone. This is where I parked my car and we had the bridge and it's just gone. So I guess you start over. I left the goats unlocked and they would've gone up the hill. But everything I've done for the last 2 years is pretty much non-existent."

The next China 🇨🇳 is: - not Mexico 🇲🇽 - not South America 🇧🇷 - not Central Asia 🇰🇿 - not Africa 🇿🇦 - not America with robots 🇺🇸 - and it is not India 🇮🇳 It is non-English speaking Southeast Asia 🇮🇩 🇻🇳 🇧🇩 🇲🇾 🇹🇭 🇰🇭 🇲🇲 🇸🇬 Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, Bangladesh, and Myanmar (no Philippines, no India) with Singapore as the new region’s “Hong Kong”. That is 500 million people who will power the world’s next chapter of low cost manufacturing. In this video I break down the 9 reasons why this is the case: 1. Willing governments (now is our time) 2. Willing people (traditional tiktok and no onlyfans) 3. No competition for the same workers (English verbal India and Mexican cartels) 4. Population density (Indonesia 🤯) for supply chain clustering 5. Educated populations with the right culture and the ability to level up from worker to engineer to boss (happening in Vietnam already) 6. Ports 7. Proximity to raw materials 🇨🇳 🇯🇵 🇰🇷 8. Proximity to manufacturing knowledge 🇨🇳 🇯🇵 🇰🇷 9. A trading hub to make it call come together China is going to blow our minds over the next 10 years but a lot of industries are going to leave that country for non-English speaking SEA, and no it won’t be automated in the developed world. This is a 10-20 year trend. The future from China to Southeast Asia, is Asian.

Radio traffic from response to Sen. Graham’s home: Emergency radio traffic indicates that Senator Lindsey Graham suffered chest pains before going into cardiac arrest Saturday night. Efforts to revive the South Carolina lawmaker were not successful. Graham died two days after his 71st birthday. This is the second time within a month that the DC Fire & EMS Department was dispatched to the Capitol Hill home of a Republican U.S. Senator reported to be in cardiac arrest. The first was Senator Mitch McConnell from Kentucky on June 14th. The radio traffic from indicates that the 911 caller last night was a woman in Baltimore. The crew from Engine 7 arrived and could not get anyone to answer the door. They apparently forced entry into the home. The radio traffic gives the impression that Senator Graham may not have immediately been in cardiac arrest when they arrived, but there is no confirmation of that information. Here’s the unofficial timeline for the call: · 8:27:34 Engine 7 and Medic 7 (a paramedic ambulance) were dispatched to Graham’s home on South Capitol Street SE (I’ve omitted the street numbers). · 8:32:34 Engine 7 requested a callback to get someone inside to open the locked front door. · 8:33:34 (timestamp missing on video) Dispatcher reported that the caller said she was not in the home and the door is unlocked. · 8:34:15 Dispatcher reported that the caller asked if they knocked on the door, believing the patient would answer. Engine 7 responded, “Yes. Repeatedly.” · 8:35:05 Dispatcher said the caller is coming from Baltimore. The dispatcher asked Engine 7 if they would like a ladder truck company to force entry and asked about the need for DC Police. Engine 7 said they will need police, but they could handle forcing entry into the home. · 8:53:28 Engine 7 reported CPR was in progress “now” and requested an EMS supervisor (standard on cardiac arrest calls). · 8:54:00 EMS 6, an EMS supervisor, was dispatched. · 9:13:41 Battalion Chief 2 told the dispatcher to attach him to the run with Engine 7 (this is not routine on most cardiac arrest calls and is likely an indication of who the patient was). #lindseygraham #sengraham #firefighters #EMS #capitolhill The Hill Mike Emanuel 🇺🇸 Tom Sherwood Manu Raju The DC Line Scott MacFarlane Jim Acosta Jake Kanter Jake Tapper 🦅 Brian Stelter Paul Farhi Jennifer M. Let me state up front that these two plays were NOT the reason St. John's lost yesterday. And I am a numbers guy so no need to tell me about our shooting stats in the game. But I need to vent. We knew Arkansas over their prior 8 games was making a concerted effort to get to the free throw line - they averaged 26.5 free throws over this 8 game period. In the 10 games prior to this 8 game period, Arkansas averaged 19.3 free throws attempts per game - right in line with D1 average per game. The coaching staff gave a clear direction to our players prior to the game - wall up with your hands in the air and maintain verticality. I am including two clips here of just that in which the Arkansas player initiated contact, Zuby and Kadary went straight up with their hands in the air, and Arkansas was rewarded with two trips to the free throw line. In the first clip, St. John's had a 4 point lead with 2 minutes to go in the first half with momentum as Arkansas hadn't made a field goal in 3 minutes. Zuby does exactly what he was instructed when Boogie Fland initiated contact and the baseline ref who is 6 feet away from the action does not blow his whistle, but another ref does award Boogie Fland two free throws. That started a 7-0 run for Arkansas and they went into the half with a 3 point lead. I can't provide enough words on the second clip on just how unjust it was to have a late whistle call on Kadary going straight up in the air and getting his fifth foul called on him with 6:28 to play. Kadary was limited to just 16 minutes of play in the entire game because of foul trouble. And as a reminder, I will end this post with how I started it. These two plays were NOT the reason St. John's lost yesterday.

once a guy on reddit really figured out the Runaway outro lyrics he used reverse engineering, isolated the outro vocals from the instrumental, and visually analyzed the spectrogram to differentiate the words. the outro is absolutely brilliant, the vocals were strategically distorted, with slightly less distortion on the familiar vocals from the first part of the song. if you listen to the outro while following the timestamped lyrics is a very interesting experience.
