The taxi driver was not passing you, he had already set off from the lights. You were trying to pass (undertake) him. I'd imagine he didn't even know you were there as you were behind the red car when he set off. The fact you can't see you were in the wrong is worrying.

It’s extremely poor cycling on your part. You become visible to the taxi at the last second when the lights are changing and it is moving away. A sensible cyclist would filter in behind him at that point. Instead, you attempt to undertake at speed. You have no hazard perception.

Don’t you have an obligation not to put yourself in harms way.

You don’t anticipate or slow down for that light on red and you passed on the left. Stop manufacturing synthetic outrage. Start learning how to ride more positively.

You are a danger to yourself and other road users. You should never attempt to overtake moving traffic on the near side.
