Two helicopters crashed earlier today during training for a flyover for Malaysia's 90th Naval Day celebrations. At least 10 people sadly died in the incident.

Footage from 2023 shows two helicopters colliding mid-air in Australia. The incident resulted in four tragic deaths.

The incident occurred around 9 :32 a.m. local time during rehearsals for the 90th Navy Day parade. The helicopters involved were an HOM maritime operations helicopter and a Fennec helicopter. The HOM helicopter crashed on the steps of a stadium, while the Fennec helicopter crashed into a pool1. All victims were confirmed dead at the scene and were sent to the Lumut Navy Base Armed Forces Hospital for identification1. The Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) will establish an investigation board to identify the cause of the incident
