I worked on the emergency response team that helped the areas affected by the wildfires here in Oregon 4 years ago and you would not believe the types of people that came in from out of state to “work” here. I want to say 70% of all the people were from California, Montana, and a few other places. Not many were actually Oregonians. Each job site had 30+ people and more than half of em sat in their vehicles the whole time. It was a massive cash grab and the only company I was supremely satisfied with was the company from California that did a lot of the excavating and K&E Excavation, they both kicked serious ass.
