We are in the Pretoria CBD for a special by-law enforcement operation. We’ve closed down dozens of salons that are operating inside a well known building located on Madiba Street. None of the salons, operating inside this building, are registered or in possession of trading licenses issued by the City of Tshwane. In addition, the Tshwane Metro Police checked the documentation of foreign nationals who operate the salons. To run a business in Tshwane, you must be issued with a trading license. The safety of residents, clients and employees must be protected. City of Tshwane

That club and many other businesses here have been served with eviction notices by the City of Tshwane. These businesses don’t have valid permits and many are none complaint. We were here a few months back and some of those we closed managed to reopen. We are closing them down again. City of Tshwane

The City’s Bad Buildings Committee has returned to Pretoria Industrial for an illegal electricity disconnection operation. We've arrested an individual who was allegedly posing as a City of Tshwane contractor and was connecting electricity illegally in the area. A fake City of a Tshwane logo was found on their vehicle.
