We must take anything he says with much suspicion — very often he exaggerates or lies." On Islamabad negotiations: The Americans initially said Iran's ten points would form a basis for talks, which Iran accepted. But during negotiations, the US was not prepared to take the required steps to reach an agreement. The US violated its commitment to the ceasefire in Lebanon and the Lebanese PM participated in sabotaging this agreement in coordination with the Trump and Netanyahu regimes. For that reason, Iranians refused to allow ships through the Strait of Hormuz during those days. "The United States will be forced to accept Iran's demands in order to move forward. The American side realized it cannot obtain from Iran at the negotiating table the same concessions that it could not obtain on the battlefield."
