I have concerns that Cody Bellinger won't age well over the duration of his contract, but he’s here, so I'm obviously going to root for him. Despite poor underlying metrics, that Yankee Stadium bump helped Bellinger last year. We've said for years he has a swing tailor-made for that short porch in right field, and we saw that play out all year. Most notably against the Mets when his home run ball went just above Juan Soto’s head. This is an outfield I can live with in 2026, even though I wanted Kyle Tucker in left. My big concern now is pitching. Losing out on Freddy Peralta and Mackenzie Gore is a bummer.

We officially got the green light for an entire Road To Western States video series, all presented by The Feed ❤️ Thank you to everyone for watching the pilot. Our goal is to show everything. No secrets. The best story coming from the series won’t have anything to do with me. It’s about the director and videographer, Cody Bare🙏 In 2023, Cody moved to Colorado and spent his life savings on photo equipment to pursue his dream. He went to races without any payment, shooting his shots over and over. He burned the boats. At Leadville in August 2024, he was there shooting his shots when I came into the mile 22 Outward Bound aid station. He snapped a few of those shots right then (see my profile photo). And maybe he saw something in my eyes, or overheard me telling Megan that I was going to demolish the record, but he dropped all of his plans and followed me around the course. I distinctly remember a blond-haired guy I didn’t know crouched in a bush at mile 94 in the middle of freaking nowhere, camera clicks blazing alongside some joyous hoots and hollers of encouragement. Cody took photos that day that were seen by millions of people and that I will cherish until the day I die. He shared all of them with me (plus video) for free. I don’t know much about art, but I immediately saw that this 24-year old was already one of the best photographers on the planet. Other people who know a lot more than me saw it too. Cody shot Javelina, this time paid. And after that race, he emailed me with a business plan of his new vision: “I believe there’s a huge audience interested in your journey and I would love to help document it!” He had never done videography like this. He had to buy the equipment. No contracts or certainty. Burn the boats. Cody is a storyteller. But whatever stories he tells in this series will only exist because he left certainty behind in Georgia. His story is what I will be thinking about when things are hard and I want to go back to the comfort of low-key races. If Cody can burn the boats, I can too. History, here we come. Pray for Cody please. 🙏 After having his fifth stroke on Sunday, he is still in the hospital now and we are preparing him for an invasive heart imaging procedure today, and if needed, we are told he will have heart surgery today depending on what is seen today. But much is unknown without this more sophisticated imagining to identify the anomaly that is seen in his heart echocardiogram. His cardiology team identified a nodule, a moderate leaky heart valve and inflammation of his heart. This issue is linked to his vaccine injury and is more commonly known as non viral endocarditis but in Cody’s case given his aggressive APS blood clotting disorder (that he was left with after his vaccine injury), this issue is better known as Libman Sacks Endocarditis. The heart imaging procedure today should give more clarity to identify each issue more definitely and to be sure of what was seen in the hospital imaging yesterday. If you do not know and to address some questions about Cody’s case, please know we are very well connected and even good friends with many of the brave physicians that help the vaccine injured. This means we know quite a bit about the alternative treatments. I am also a published in many formats including medical journals on vaccine injury, adverse events and public disability policy. In other words, I am extremely dedicated to bringing truth and education to others. I am also Cody’s mom. Cody is our beloved son and he is suffering tremendously. Please know… His dad and I did not want Cody to get the shot. Cody is autistic and was manipulated. Update: Young Cody Hudson (26- FL) will have the first of two skin graft surgeries to his extensively micro clot injured leg tomorrow. He is still hospitalized in critical condition for day 25 now, fighting for his life in advanced heart failure and at risk of leg amputation caused by blood clotting and micro-clotting as a result of his severe, vaccine-induced autoimmune clotting disorder that is well documented, peer reviewed and published and that he was left with since 2021. He was recently medivac transferred by helicopter to his current hospital in order to access a specialized, multidisciplinary care team equipped to handle his rare combination of heart failure, strokes, micro-clotting, and critical need for immune modulation to stop this aggressive autoimmune process. In June, he had a massive, inflammatory autoimmune event in which micro-clots in his blood have completely cut off circulation, acting like a severe third-degree burn all the way around his lower leg from the knee down. We had to request immediate helicopter transfer to his current hospital system on Father’s Day just a few weeks ago, to avoid leg amputation and to save his leg. I have been providing extensive wound care in the hospital for the past three weeks taking care of Cody’s leg- on my own and keeping it free of infection with the support of the staff here at the hospital. Tomorrow, he will have surgery to remove the dead tissue— this is the first of two skin graft surgeries on his left leg (or for both legs if they determine his right leg is severe enough)- A sobering aspect of these surgeries is that any surgery for a patient with Cody’s blood clotting condition is a terrifying tightrope between fatal blood clots and catastrophic bleeding with an extreme high risk compared to the general population. If the dead tissue is not removed- he could easily die of infection- we have been able to keep him free of infection in the legs, but the risk of death by infection is grater this surgery outweighs the risk of infection killing him. Because his case is so rare, I have dedicated years to researching these specific autoimmune injuries. My research is utilized globally in litigation and active state and federal government investigations. Cody’s medical team treats me as one of the experts on his team. I perform his specialized leg care daily and actively provide research in his case. He needs his mom and dad have to be at his bedside to help him. But we are at a breaking point. My husband is our sole provider, and he has missed three months to of work with zero pay to help me safely lift 6'3" Cody. This is the 5th year of Cody’s terminal illness and the extensive medical need have caused crushing financial hardship on our family. Caleb Durbin immediately jumps off the page as yet another breakout candidate acquired by Boston this offseason. On the surface, Durbin's production isn't necessarily eye-popping. As a rookie in '25: ⚾️ .721 OPS ⚾️ 6% BB / 10% K ⚾️ .312 xwOBA ⚾️ 105 wRC+ ⚾️ 2.6 fWAR So, what stands out regarding Durbin? I. Elite Swing Decisions & Whiff-Ability. Facing major league pitching for the first time in his career, Durbin registered the 5th-best K% (10%) in MLB last year. His 94% zCon rate (T-5th in MLB) is also elite. Durbin's whiff% and chase% also ranked inside the 95th percentile (or better). We're talking about a bat with some similar contact traits like we see in Jacob Wilson, for example, but with far less chase and a bit more pullside thump. He squares up the ball well (33% — 95th PCTL) and pairs that ability with taking a steady amount of walks. Point blank, the 25-year-old is a demon at limiting whiff. II. Power Surge? It's All in the Pull Air%. A gigantic reason it's so easy to pencil Durbin in as a breakout candidate is his fantastic park fit at Fenway. As a rookie, Durbin turned in an above-average 41% pull rate, plus an even-better 20% pull air rate. Utilizing that approach with a big target in left field will work wonders for his OPS. I don't expect Durbin to mash 20+ HR out of nowhere, but I'd certainly bank on seeing a number of flyouts simply turn into doubles or homers at home. III. Quality Defense. Breslow talked a lot about upgrading defense, and this move certainly does that. I've been very vocal since the start of the offseason that Mayer at 2B, not 3B, would be my preference for a multitude of reasons. Durbin (who can play all over the infield), enters the building as a plus defender at 3B. As a rookie, Durbin turned in 2 OAA, 5 DRS, 5 rPM, and 1 FRV at the hot corner. Sliding Mayer over to second base allows for easier platoon management with Romy Gonzalez — who saw an increase in his defensive production at 2B a year ago — and yes, is an upgrade over Alex Bregman's 1 DRS in 2025. IV. Handling Velo. Something that shouldn't get overlooked is Durbin's ability to handle velocity — a department the Red Sox obviously needed to upgrade in after last season. In '25 vs. FA-types 94+ mph: ⚾️ .258 BA → .275 xBA ⚾️ .350 SLG → .375 xSLG ⚾️ .319 wOBA → .337 xwOBA ⚾️ 8% whiff rate — — — Overall, I'm really ecstatic about the Durbin acquisition. This is FAR better than signing Suarez and calling it a day, imo. Can't forget Durbin is a guy the Red Sox have under team control for a while now (2032 UFA!). Utilizing Harrison — who's name has been yanked around between trade talks or a move to the bullpen — is a great piece of business. The comp pick is also massive, but we'll talk more about that soon. I think at his best, Durbin could lead off for the Red Sox by the end of '26. A legit breakout candidate and bag stealing threat with a high floor thanks to limited swing-and-miss and good defense. Really looking forward to see him more in camp.

Sliding Mayer over to second base allows for easier platoon management with Romy Gonzalez — who saw an increase in his defensive production at 2B a year ago — and yes, is an upgrade over Alex Bregman's 1 DRS in 2025. IV. Handling Velo. Something that shouldn't get overlooked is Durbin's ability to handle velocity — a department the Red Sox obviously needed to upgrade in after last season. In '25 vs. FA-types 94+ mph: ⚾️ .258 BA → .275 xBA ⚾️ .350 SLG → .375 xSLG ⚾️ .319 wOBA → .337 xwOBA ⚾️ 8% whiff rate — — — Overall, I'm really ecstatic about the Durbin acquisition. On March 19, 2025, I attended the George Mason University Faculty Senate meeting to gain insight into the current campus climate. Although one GMU student had already been arrested for planning a mass casualty attack on the Israeli consulate in New York and a December raid of a student residence tied to two leaders of GMU’s chapter of Students for Justice in Palestine had uncovered firearms, ammunition, terrorist flags, and a sign reading "Death to Jews," the Faculty Senate expressed frustration over the university’s board of visitors adopting an anti-Semitism policy aligned with the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance definition of anti-Semitism. Many professors also voiced concerns about the Trump administration and the fact that George Mason had been named that week as one of sixty other schools being investigated for anti-Semitism. Despite this, it was a joy to watch President Gregory Washington speak on everything from free speech to academic freedom. However, it was clear that many faculty members were uneasy with recent decisions by GMU’s Board of Visitors and in this meeting they even adopted a policy to delete Zoom recordings of the faculty senate after the minutes had been composed to avoid leaving a record of comments (which likely violates Virginia’s FOIA laws). Even President Gregory Washington seemed aware of the charged atmosphere, acknowledging offensive remarks directed toward him by certain Senate members since October 7th. As I reflect on the meeting, I’m left with mixed feelings. President Washington's leadership and ability to balance the expectations of faculty and the Board is admirable. Needless to say, I was just stunned at the defiance from some of the professors and their willingness to pretty much go to bat for what I see as a terrorist cell. Even President Washington alluded to the fact that the raided house held more horrors than what was revealed by police. The reason of high prices in Kenya includes the introduction of an extra 8% VAT in 2023 and an extra KSh 7 fuel levy in 2024. VAT is over Ksh 25 per liter. This is besides other excise taxes and levies. More interesting is that the government has already taken a loan or collected the Ksh 7 in advance through illegal securitization. This amounts to Ksh 32 billion per year. For non-oil-producing economies, their markets are price takers of the global prices; they are left with the tool of levies, taxes, or subsidies to deal with fuel prices. Taxes and levies account for around 50% of fuel prices in Kenya, among the highest in the World. A time has now come for Kenya to remove the Ksh 7 in fuel levy added in 2024 and recede the 8% VAT on fuel. The banks that participated in the illegal securitization should be made to pay for their greed. They either give a moratorium or laws must be changed. The government must intervene. Consumers have done their bit by paying additional VAT and fuel levy when prices were coming down; now it is time for the government to reciprocate by removing the 8% additional VAT and Ksh 7 fuel levy.
