Thiel puts an even finer point on it: most businesses get zero distribution channels to work. Poor sales rather than bad product is the most common cause of failure. If you can get just one distribution channel to work, you have a great business. Estée Lauder said: it's not enough to have the most wonderful product in the world. You must be able to sell it. Many founders over-index on product perfection and under-invest in distribution. The world is full of great products nobody knows about, and mediocre products with massive distribution that dominate markets. Evan Spiegel lived it. My cousins and my brother and I were exploring Coney Island, we saw the sights, hung out at the arcades and before we went back to the apartment we decided to go and get something to eat, we had some money on us but not much so we decided to see what we could get at one of the vendors. This was back in the early 90’s when most of them had dollar slices of pizza wherever we went. So we got 4 pieces of pizza, should have been $4 because that’s the price we were used to. The guy wanted to charge us $24 at $6 a slice. We argues with him because one of my cousins already took a bite being so hungry. But at the least we owed $4. We gave the other slices back and refused them but had to pay for the partially eaten one, it was embarrassing that an adult would try that on a bunch of kids. We told our uncle what happened and he went back and yelled at the vendor. He was familiar with them because he used to get slices all the time from the same guy and he never charged my uncle that price. I couldn’t imagine paying that exurban amount, like this guy who was being charged $54 for a hotdog by one of the vendors. At first he thought it was a typo and it was $5.40 but the vendor. Learned it up when he said no it was $54. Would you have paid that amount? I would have walked away, clearly he was trying to possibly scam a the man for looking like a tourist. Part of the experience when visiting a new area is the street food but it’s becoming more and more a chore avoiding places like this.

Almost five years ago, one of our bright beneficiaries, David, lost his mother after she travelled to the Upper East Region to seek medical treatment. He became an orphan. In the midst of that tragedy, he left Accra and disappeared from our scholarship programme. We did everything we could to bring him back. We had even identified a loving family that was ready to take him in so he could continue his education through our Student Training and Education Programme (STEP), but his family was not ready to let him return. We never gave up. In 2024, we heard that David had returned to Accra, so we travelled to Kasoa to look for him. We were relieved to find him, but his family was not forthcoming, making it difficult for us to stay in touch. Sadly, by the time we returned, he had been taken back to the Upper East Region. Then, just recently, we received the phone call we had been praying for. One of David’s cousins had brought him back after learning that he was being mistreated. At just 13 years old, David had been out of school for years and was being made to work on farms instead. Today, David is finally back. He may be behind in school, but he is not behind in potential. We are determined to help him catch up, heal, and build the future he deserves. As we prepare to support David’s return to school, he will need school fees, uniforms, books, stationery, personal items, counselling, and the care every child deserves to thrive. Whilst doing roads inspection and preparing to launch our roads and Stormwater project at block FF Soshanguve, we found this water leak that Ntate says has been flowing for two months even though he had reported it. I immediately alerted director Mokgadi and asked that teams be immediately dispatched. One of our biggest headache in the city is water losses and the amount of money we loose because of this.

After a series of meetings with McCormick Property Development (a SA company), which included a request made to them to redesign the Egodini vendors bays, we are pleased to report that substantial progress has been made and the project is now underway again. The redesign was to ensure that the Egodini vendors market will be fully roofed so as to provide protection to vendors, their customers and their wares. Egodini is a critical component of The City of Bulawayo ‘s need to decongest areas in the center of our City (including 5th Avenue) and the project has been bogged down. I am grateful for the new energy which has been injected by McCormick and now hopeful that this long outstanding project may now be completed.

We first went to Mohangarh Police Station, but they sent us to the PTM Police Station, saying it was under their jurisdiction. The PTM Police Station then told us to go to Kotwali because the registration had taken place there... We met the Tehsildar and the Patwari and informed them that someone had impersonated my father. The fake person claimed to be 75 years old, while my father is 90... We requested the Tehsildar to cancel the mutation, but he said his job was only to register the property and that we should go to court... Our FIR was also not being registered... Only after the SP intervened was an FIR finally lodged at the Kotwali Police Station. The SP assured my father that he would get his land back... For the last three days, we have been running from one office to another... My father's condition has deteriorated so much that he was falling asleep even while giving fingerprints. He is a heart patient, yet he remains determined to fight this fourth battle... I request the Himachal Pradesh government to help us... We have already spent lakhs of rupees, yet we are still struggling to recover our own land... Our land in Himachal was acquired for the Pong Dam, and we were rehabilitated here with the promise that we could build a livelihood... We were planning to install tube wells and settle here after years of hard work. But if our land is taken away, where will we go? How will we survive?... We are the sons of a soldier. Bungalu is a survivor! Small, skeletal, and totally alone, he had been spotted several times, but only for a moment before hiding away. On 27th February, we mobilised a rescue with the KWS – but just before our helicopter arrived, he zigzagged past everyone on the ground and vanished. Two days later, following a monumental storm, two local Maasai men found and secured the calf - it was a miracle to find him still alive. We raced to the scene and flew him to our Kaluku Unit. There we discovered another twist in Bungalu’s story: He had deep claw marks laced across his back. The wounds had scarred over, but he had clearly been pursued by lions. Bungalu was a hard-won case. He was skin-and-bones, riddled with ulcers and parasites. For weeks, he remained in fight-or-flight mode, barely sleeping as he rocked in his stable. But despite all he’d been through, Bungalu embraced his Keepers from the outset. He was visibly relieved to be part of a family again. ⭐️ Bungalu’s care is entirely funded by donations. 🇦🇺Adelaide MFA update🇦🇺 We have received more complaints than we can keep count of in the last few days, so we feel the need to address what has been going on. Planning our Australia Day marches has been an interesting experience, we've seemingly hit some bumps in nearly every state this time around. Thankfully, we've pushed through and managed to finalise all our locations other than Adelaide. As you all know, South Australia has always been the hardest state to secure an organiser. We had plenty of team members ready to go, but no suitable main organiser who was willing to dox themselves on permits, etc. We were determined not to give up, as we were getting tonnes of messages asking when the Adelaide location would be dropped. So instead, we put out a TBA flyer and kept trying. During this time, an opportunistic person, whom we've had several bad experiences and complaints about, decided to attempt to make himself the organiser AGAIN and attempt to hijack our Australia Day plans in Adelaide. This person is none other than Mark Aldridge, the man who slyly inserted himself in our August 31st march, got our organisers' name removed from the permits, publicly bagged our promotional material, and caused fights to break out at the event. He was clearly never aligned with our beliefs. He proceeded to badmouth our organisation to the media and even went to a leftist counter-protest against our October 19th event, where he was told to sit down and shut up by the organisers. Unfortunately, because Mark decided to again hijack our event (he has since changed the naming of it) whilst also changing the messaging by promoting multicultural Australia, telling people to take flags other than the Australian flag, running it under a political organisation, and asking for donations. We will need to make it very clear that we are not affiliated with Mark Aldridge or his event in any way at all. 🇦🇺Adelaide MFA update🇦🇺 We have received more complaints than we can keep count of in the last few days, so we feel the need to address what has been going on. Planning our Australia Day marches has been an interesting experience, we've seemingly hit some bumps in nearly every state this time around. Thankfully, we've pushed through and managed to finalise all our locations other than Adelaide. As you all know, South Australia has always been the hardest state to secure an organiser. We had plenty of team members ready to go, but no suitable main organiser who was willing to dox themselves on permits, etc. We were determined not to give up, as we were getting tonnes of messages asking when the Adelaide location would be dropped. So instead, we put out a TBA flyer and kept trying. During this time, an opportunistic person, whom we've had several bad experiences and complaints about, decided to attempt to make himself the organiser AGAIN and attempt to hijack our Australia Day plans in Adelaide. This person is none other than Mark Aldridge, the man who slyly inserted himself in our August 31st march, got our organisers' name removed from the permits, publicly bagged our promotional material, and caused fights to break out at the event. He was clearly never aligned with our beliefs. He proceeded to badmouth our organisation to the media and even went to a leftist counter-protest against our October 19th event, where he was told to sit down and shut up by the organisers. Unfortunately, because Mark decided to again hijack our event (he has since changed the naming of it) whilst also changing the messaging by promoting multicultural Australia, telling people to take flags other than the Australian flag, running it under a political organisation, and asking for donations. We will need to make it very clear that we are not affiliated with Mark Aldridge or his event in any way at all. When you hear the advice "hire the best," this is what that looks like: "We had a candidate who came and interviewed. He was a junior at MIT and very very young. We gave him our interview and he did way better than almost any of the full-time candidates that we had ever talked to. So we said to him, what do you think about taking some time off of school and working with us and building out Devin? And he thought about it for a while, and he came back, and he said I'm down, I want to do it, but my parents really want me to graduate from school, and I'm just not sure there's a way to make it work. So we talked with him more to fully understand the situation, and then we flew to North Carolina, went straight from the airport to his parents' house, had dinner with him and his parents, and tried to understand, all right, what would it take to make this work? They said it sounds like a great opportunity, but we really want our son to be able to graduate. So we figured out a setup where he could work for us essentially full time, but then come in for his required classes, and do what he needed to do to get the diploma. When it arose, he came from Dubai, he called me, and we had a meeting before he invited me to attend a meeting of the central committee of the party, and he said he had a difficult situation he found himself in. I understood the point he was trying to make, which was that some of our people had been approached by President Ruto, and these guys had agreed to be recruited into his government. Raila had urged Ruto not to announce those appointments until he got here. He said if they went into government without the goodwill of the party, it would bring problems and division within the party #JKLive

On the 10th of April we received a video of a dog lying on the middle of the road and close to death. He had been hit by a car and for almost 12 days he was left untreated. His wound was infested with maggot’s and being so weak he was no longer able to move. A good soul applied some powder, but he was still left there on that road. Luckily someone called the foundation and we had him picked up immediately. He spent 10 days at the hospital where his wound was healing, but due to B canis tick fever his haemoglobin had dropped to 3!!!!! He needed a blood transfusion immediately and luckily one of our dogs Gungun was a match. After the transfusion his haemoglobin went up to 8 and is steadily on the rise. We’ve named him Kheera and his recovery is an absolute miracle!!! He’ll stay with us till his wound is healed, tick fever gone and a healthy haemoglobin count. Akoi Foundation
