Had a meeting with my team, so we tried China. By the time we paid them and got the remaining. It was peeling. Those awards were backstage but we can’t present it. So We ran the entire awards with 5 Plaques. We’ve done it before, it worked. And we are not the first to do that, MTV Europe Awards did it and gave people plaques later, there was no complaint”

Jordan and Delroy Lindo were presenting the award for best visual effects. After the incident, the academy released a statement, saying that John Davidson, the man who shouted the N word at Jordan and Lindo, "chose to leave the auditorium and watch the rest of the ceremony from a screen, and we would like to thank him for his dignity and consideration of others, on what should have been a night of celebration for him."
