Double Agent was fucking phenomenal. The Spies Vs Mercs was amazing. Chaos Theory is easily the best single player splinter cell, great multiplayer too.

Conviction and Blacklist were weak Splinter Cell games. The concept was clearly meant to be for a completely different series that Ubisoft didn't believe could success without a name people knew, so they rolled it into an existing IP. SC ended with Double Agent.

Everyone asking for a modern assassin's creed instead... Sam Fisher always was him.

Dudeeee at EPG we love Splinter Cell! Cant wait for a new one. People hate on Black List but it was a good game. Solid co op mode, solid single player campaign and solid gameplay and graphics. We need Splinter cell asap. Especially as MGS games are probably perma gone with Kojima no longer at Konami... Would happily buy remasters of the Splinter cell games in 4k 60fps too

After Blacklist they could have literally moved forward with Briggs being the main operative with Sam more of a field command position.

I've beaten Blacklist at least 4 times, I adored that game. Conviction was alright, it just focused way too much on that mark and execute bullshit.

Blacklist is a really fun action game with stealth elements but not a really good splinter cell game. I had a lot of fun with this but I think of splinter cell I think of chaos theory and it’s stealth

The first Splinter Cell sold 6 million copies, while this one only sold 2 million. By industry standards, it's considered a partial commercial failure.

ubislop hated making games for splinter cell because it took a lot of effort to handcraft the missions. also, MGS was kicking their ass at the stealth genre so ubislop simply gave up.
