Chinese humanoid maker UBTech has secured a $1 billion credit line from Infini Capital to expand production and build a research hub and “super factory” in the Middle East. The Hong Kong–Abu Dhabi–based investment firm aims to increase its holding in UBTech to 5% and will leverage its AI/robotics investments to help UBTech develop more powerful, cost-effective humanoid robots. UBTech became a public company in 2023. In the first half of 2025, it reported revenue of 621M yuan ($87.1M), up 27.5%, while losses narrowed to 414M yuan ($58M) from 516M yuan ($72M) a year earlier.

Airbus has purchased UBTECH's latest industrial humanoid robot, the Walker S2, for use in its manufacturing plants.
