While many investors are buying Dangote shares, one investor chose a different path he used his money to buy millions of naira worth of physical gold instead. His reason? “Buy the dip.” Not in stocks. Not in crypto. In gold. He sees gold as a long-term investment and a store of value for his children. My question: Is this a wise investment strategy, or would you rather put that money into stocks, Sukuk, real estate, or a business? And is gold part of your investment portfolio? 👇 What would you do, and why?

Etherealize CEO Vivek Raman: The Repricing of ETH as Money Could Start Pretty Soon "ETH is like BTC++ in that it's productive, it has yield -- which financial people love -- but also it's a store of value and used as collateral. It's basically used as money across the Ethereum economy." "It is an asymmetric bet that Ethereum will reprice from being valued like a technology company to becoming money. There is a potential 100x as that starts to happen." "It'd be wishful thinking to suggest an immediate 100x, but the repricing could start pretty soon. People now know what Bitcoin is. People obviously know what gold is. There is a need for a digital asset store of value or multiple of them. ETH is emerging more and more as that second pristine store of value asset, and we think it will become the primary one." "BlackRock just launched their staking ETF, so they're calling ETH a productive asset that's earning yield. Harvard just rotated some of their Bitcoin holdings into ETH. You're seeing the institutional allocations diversify, so it's starting now, and [Productive Money] is the thesis for it to really catch hold." 🔥BILLIONAIRE INVESTOR GRANTHAM: "CRYPTO IS USELESS. WHAT THE HELL DOES IT DO?" Jeremy Grantham, one of Wall Street’s most famous bubble watchers, says crypto is a “useless speculative” asset that will end “not with a bang, but a whimper.” He argues it is not a stable store of value and is barely used for real-world payments. “What it does is allows crooks to move money around without leaving a trace.”

Sowell puts the socialist story to a one-question test. If the rich are rich because they keep the poor poor, then countries packed with billionaires should be packed with misery. The United States has more billionaires than Africa and the Middle East combined — and America’s poor still live better than most people in those regions. The theory fails the data. Wealth is created. It is not a pile the rich stole from the poor.

This scene always makes me think about what markets do once a simple asset story is no longer enough. At first people buy the thing itself. Then, at some point, that stops being exciting enough. So the market starts building layers around it. A structure. A wrapper. A more financial version of the same idea. That is why MSTR comes to mind for me here. Not because it is the same as a synthetic CDO. It obviously is not. But because the instinct feels familiar. If you believe in Bitcoin, the clean path is simple. You buy Bitcoin. If you want a more traditional route, you buy the ETF. That should be enough. But MSTR is something else entirely. It is Bitcoin, turned into a corporate vehicle, then turned into a capital markets machine, then turned into a narrative people are willing to value differently from the asset underneath it. And that is where it starts feeling less like pure exposure and more like financial engineering built around exposure. We have seen this movie before in different forms. Markets love taking a real asset, wrapping it in a new story, and then assigning the wrapper a value that starts drifting away from the thing it actually holds. As long as that premium stays alive, the machine keeps working. More demand for the structure. More capital raised. More accumulation. Bigger story. More believers. On the way up, it all looks brilliant. That is always the seductive part. In strong markets, even very simple reflexive loops can look like genius. The real question only shows up later, when the mood changes and people start asking whether the value was in the underlying asset all along, or in the extra meaning the market temporarily assigned to the structure built around it. That is why I find this clip so relevant. It is not just a reminder of 2008. It is a reminder of a deeper market habit. People rarely stop at owning the thing. They almost always find a way to build another layer on top of it. And to me, that is the more interesting question around MSTR. Not how much more Bitcoin it can buy. But how long the market will keep rewarding the wrapper more than the thing inside it.

An angry caller confronts Dave Ramsey for calling “Infinite Banking” a scam only to walk directly into a brutal financial reality check. Caller: “I am calling in response to a video I saw recently that you claimed infinite banking concept was a scam and actually got quite pissed off about it. I do not agree with that, and certain points that you made in that video. And I have set up a policy for my son when he was 1 years old, he's 5 now. Has a 500 thousand dollar face value. We pay 5,373 dollars a year for 13 years, and it's paid up at that point. There's a few points that I wanted to discuss that I just didn't agree with. One of the main things was that... so you claim that the cash value dies with you, and you only get the face value paid out.” Dave: “That's true. That is.” Caller: “Well, it's not true if you reinvest the dividends back into the policy.” Dave: “Dividend reinvestment is not cash value. Dividend reinvestment is because you have a mutual company, and the policyholders are the owners of the company. And so the profits from the company come to the policyholder, and they use that to buy paid up additions. That is not the same as keeping your cash value. That's buying extra insurance with your overpayment.” Caller: “But it still works out to be having a cash value much greater than the $69,849 we put into it.” Dave: “But the actual cash value, not the paid up additions... the actual cash value dies with you.” Caller: “No, because—” Dave: “Yes it does. I think... oh, OK.” Caller: “But your death benefit is larger than your cash value, so for me, I looked at it—” Dave: “Because you bought more insurance! You know what a paid up addition is? A paid up addition is buying additional insurance. I understand that's why you're getting more at death. Not because you got your cash value, but because you used your policy dividends to buy additional insurance. Right? But that's different than getting your cash value. If you took those policy dividends and went and bought a term insurance policy for 100,000, well, you'd get 100,000. But that's not your cash value.” Caller: “Well, I have a term policy.” Dave: “I know, but you missed my point. You're talking about... you use the policy dividends. You use the money they send to you because you're in a mutual company to buy additional insurance.” Caller: “Yes, paid up additions, yeah.” Dave: “Yeah, if you'd buy a term policy on the side for $100,000 instead, with that same money, you would get $100,000 more than your face value. But that's not your cash value, that's additional insurance. They're different.” Caller: “But right... they are different. In term, you don't have cash value to borrow again.” Dave: “I'm aware of that. But your point was that you don't lose the cash value, and my point is 100% of the time, by definition, you lose the cash value.”

Warren Buffett was asked if Berkshire’s purchase of $AMZN (2019 at $89) was a departure from value investing. His answer cuts straight to the heart of what value investing actually means: “The idea that value is somehow connected to book value or low price to earnings ratios or anything, as Charlie has said all investing is value investing. You’re putting out money now to get more later — and making a calculation on the probability of getting it, and when.” ___ Buffett dismantles one of the most common misconceptions in investing. Value investing was never about low price-to-book ratios or cheap multiples. That’s a methodology — not a definition. The definition is simple: you’re paying a price today for a stream of future cash flows, and you’re asking whether you’re being adequately compensated. The label “value” vs. “growth” has always been a false dichotomy. All intelligent investing is value investing. ___ 🎙️ Berkshire 2019 Annual Meeting | CNBC Warren Buffett Archive (05/04/2019)

🇮🇳➡️🇳🇿 An Indian-origin woman in New Zealand asks a simple question: “Why are people leaving India?” The accompanying voiceover points to the frustrations many cite ₹25 crore homes in Mumbai, potholes, traffic, pollution, political banners, corruption and unequal access to quality education. Meanwhile, New Zealand is presented as a place where children in the same locality can attend government schools regardless of how rich their parents are. The question isn't whether India has changed it has. The question is whether our cities and institutions can change fast enough to make people want to stay.

Some people would rather make rich people poorer than help poor people get richer. They spend all day angry about someone else’s money and almost no time asking why a mother can work from morning to night and still struggle to feed her children. If someone got rich by providing great value to the world, good for them. We actually need more people like that! But don’t tell me you care about the poor when you spend more time resenting the rich than asking what would actually help the poor.

Etherealize CEO Vivek Raman on the case for ETH as money "When we look at ETH the asset, we should be comparing it to the TAM of money and not a software stock that's trading at a multiple of earnings. Ethereum is not a technology stock or a technology company -- it is the infrastructure platform where the world's assets are being digitized." "What is ETH? ETH is the money that's used across the entire Ethereum ecosystem and outside of the Ethereum ecosystem as a reserve asset." "BlackRock's second biggest digital asset ETF after Bitcoin is ETH. They just launched a staked ETH ETF -- that's for institutions to get exposure to this asset as a money and a store of value. You're seeing players like Tom Lee, Joe Lubin, and Joe Chalom hold ETH as an institutional treasury asset. They're not playing for a growth/earnings, company-style return. They're playing for a repricing of when ETH gets rated as a monetary asset." "What is the TAM of money? I would almost say it's conservative just saying it's gold and bitcoin. You also have the M2 of the US dollar. High end real estate is also viewed as a store of value." "But let's take the most tangible ones where ETH has superior properties -- gold and bitcoin -- and we think ETH should start to eat away at that monetary premium and capture some of that itself." Rasmr explains why having cash flow makes him cooler than a rich trencher with no income "There's a bunch of people with 3 mil PnL, but they don't have cash flow. I have money I make every month, I run this show, I have employees, I pay clippers. In my opinion what I do is cooler than just trenching, even if you have 8 or 10 mil, because I actually provide value and have a public persona." "I value clout, and I'm friends with really high level people. Just in Miami I linked with orangey, bread scales, Dylan Latham. That has real value, because if I'm doing business eventually, that network is going to pay off." "When you're a trader and you don't have cash flow, that's how you start taking bigger and bigger risks. You start rugging people, you start dumping on your followers, because you think you're rich and you elevate your lifestyle to 50k a month, and then you need a trade to profit just to keep spending. They don't have the cash flow to support the lifestyle."

The crypto market is crashing. Bitcoin down 40%. Altcoins bleeding. Everyone’s panicking. But there’s a hidden business benefiting from this... It’s called a digital payment business. AKA, helping businesses accept crypto payments. & this crash is presenting an opportunity. Here’s why: When prices drop, people offload crypto, not just hold it. Option #1: Sell for cash (just sits there) Option #2: Trade for another asset or purchase That creates an opportunity for businesses that accept crypto payments. While everyone’s watching their portfolio bleed, I’m targeting businesses that need crypto payment solutions. Gold exchanges are one of those perfect targets. They’re already dealing with high-value transactions. They rarely accept credit cards because they can’t risk chargebacks. Plus, gold prices have skyrocketed recently. Here’s how I’ll take advantage: • Find a local gold exchange not accepting crypto • Place my device at the business and charge a % • Each time a customer pays I earn a percentage This is the boring business nobody talks about. It’s the one that cash flows regardless of whether Bitcoin is at $100k or $30k. Want a more in-depth breakdown of exactly how this works? DM me “Digital” and we'll chat.

Tokenization as Infrastructure, Not a Shortcut In this clip, André Casterman explains why tokenization is best understood as an upgrade to the internet’s financial infrastructure, not a guarantee of liquidity or success. Tokenization does not create demand on its own. Liquidity still matters. What it does change is the efficiency of how value moves. Cheaper settlement. Faster transfer. Native verifiability. Stablecoins are a clear example. Instead of routing payments through correspondent banking and local clearing entities, value can move directly by transferring tokens. The asset does not need to be physically moved or reconciled across jurisdictions. The result is lower cost and less friction. Verifiability is the real unlock. Unlike physical assets, which require costly and invasive processes to prove authenticity, tokenized assets can be verified on-chain, publicly, and without altering the asset itself. This is the shift from moving information to moving value. Tokenization is not a product. It is infrastructure. And infrastructure is what enables real-world use at scale. — André Casterman

The Asset Chain (Asset Chain 🌍 (AI-RWA L1)) public mainnet is live. I am grateful to our team for their tireless work over the past two years. To us, this is not just another layer-one blockchain—it is a statement and a movement. We can no longer sit on the sidelines while other regions capture value from various industries, including blockchain technology, which has created a level playing field for all. The video is a bit long. I believe it will be worth your time. Please excuse any background noise, as it was recorded in an airport. Thank you. 😆

🇲🇱🇧🇫🇳🇪 The Sahel has spent decades exporting extraordinary amounts of wealth as raw material. Mali and Burkina Faso have gold. Niger has uranium and oil. Mali is now emerging as a major lithium producer. But increasingly, the three countries are asking a different question: Why should the valuable part happen somewhere else? Mali, Burkina Faso and Niger have now made local processing a joint priority under the Alliance of Sahel States. Burkina Faso has opened its first gold refinery. Mali has rewritten its mining code to raise state and domestic ownership in projects to as much as 35%, while expanding lithium production and developing its own gold refining capacity. Niger has been pushing for greater control over uranium and oil. The idea is bigger than simply taking a larger royalty from a foreign mining company. Mine it here. Process it here. Build the industry around it here. Keep more of the value here. Whether the 3 governments can actually turn that into broad prosperity is a much harder question. The Sahel supplies the resource. Someone else gets the value chain. That's the economic model they're trying to break. Writer: Oliver

“AI is changing the value prop of software.” We spoke with Metronome CEO Scott Woody about why AI requires a new business model. “In the cloud era…the value of the software scales as your org scales.” “In AI, the software is now doing work on your behalf…so the core value of the software is not who in my org has access to the data, it's what can this software do for me? When the value shifts from access to output, the business model has to follow.
