UCLA 🚨: someone has pulled the fire alarm and instructions over loud speaker for students to begin evacuating the campus. This might be in hopes to get students out into the encampment area, as I see no present fire.

They are TRAINING protestors in hand to hand combat as LAPD expected to tear down the encampment as soon as tonight, and potential fights with police expected. The school has deemed the encampment “unlawful” and have threatened students with suspension or even expulsion if they refuse to leave, per school staff source.

The Dragon Bravo Fire in the Grand Canyon has exploded in size to over 71,000 acres after another huge run yesterday. This is the full progression of fire activity during the burn period and into the night. They are now on their 5th consecutive day of record low humidities over the fire area, and combined with winds, slope alignment, and thick fuels, the fire pushed hard into the Kaibab National Forest. Fire managers are now trying to keep the fire from impacting State Route 67 to the west. Thanks to the subscriber who shared this incredible view of Fire activity last night. Containment has once again been reduced to 9%.

Following the fire, classes have switched to online learning while administrators look for a temporary rental facility. Some students may be relocated to the center’s two other campuses in the Prior Lake area. The loss has hit the community hard. Several members showed up for morning prayers only to be met with the sight of the burned building.
