UCSD testing their Nephas motor injector on their Colossus test rig had an anomaly yesterday in the LOX main valve resulting in a rig RUD. Surprisingly the damage is minimal and Colossus (built like a tank) and Nephas will be back soon. Lots of learning!

This is a lox/lng setup that is nitrogen pressed. The lng side was not breached but did exhaust through the nozzle and venting. The lox side immediately ignited at the main valve opening up 100% of the lox. Root cause is unknown, but could be particle impact ignition, failed valve, or ? Lots of nitrogen followed the lox but would take a lot to combust it.

E-2’s first 90-second test fire was a success! It performed at 55% power with a low conservative 1.6 mixture ratio as planned. The hardware appears in perfect condition ready for more tests. This is an exceptional result for a first test article (E-2 SN1). The test was also a key milestone for our US Space Force TACFI contract. We’ve wrapped up this test campaign and will be back in January with an updated injector featuring lower LOX passage pressure drop to allow us to increase the LOX mass flow and in turn reach full thrust and high performance O/F mixture ratio of 2.62. We thank our team and partners for making this possible - especially Stennis Space Center and their team. We would also like to thank the @SpaceForceDoD for their TACFI contract support.

OFFICIAL: Origins Robot Endgame Boss Fight Around 10-15 minutes into the match, you'll get a notification that either the Z-Rex or Colossus is spawning. For the Colossus, you have to first kill a certain amount of enemies around a portal before it will spawn. Once the Colossus has spawned, you have to shoot either one of its feet until it breaks. Let it step on you and you'll go into it just like in Origins. While in the core, there'll be a plate that glows and pulsates when you stand on it. After awhile, it'll shoot out a pulse that will turn on several red lights around the core. You have to shoot them all in a extremely small time frame. If done right, the cores shield will turn off and you can damage it. This needs to be repeated again for a total of two times. Afterwards, you'll get an exotic skill and have the opportunity to either leave the robot or exfil. If you exfil, you get sent to a special room and get a special exfil and game over cutscene.
