Today, I represented H.E. the President Yoweri K Museveni at the thanksgiving ceremony of Hon. Sam Engola , the Minister for Relief, Disaster Preparedness and Refugees, in Erute South Constituency, Lira District. The President congratulated Hon. Engola on his recent election as the Member of Parliament for Erute South and his appointment as Minister. He appreciated the people of Lira, in particular, and the Lango Sub-region, in general, for voting for him and NRM Party candidates in the recent general election. The President urged the people to embrace the Government’s wealth-creation programmes, such as PDM and Emyooga, to join the money economy and support NRM’s agenda of socioeconomic transformation.
