In the wee hours of the morning of 19th Jan 2026 in the chilly weather of Rabat, I kept turning in my bed accepting that; Despite achieving a multitude of historic milestones as the President of FUFA None of them makes me as emotional as realizing my childhood dream. The first AFCON I watched was 1992 and was supporting Senegal 🇸🇳 the hosts because of Jules Bocande (RIP). I then asked why was Uganda not in the competition and everyone laughed at me. I said one day we shall play while hosting that AFCON and the laughter was even louder. Uganda had missed 7 previous editions without any infrastructure to host I watched each yet helplessly Uganda fail to qualify for the next 7 editions (1994-2004). As part of the administration Uganda further painfully missed the next 5 editions (2006-2013) As FUFA President, Uganda missed the 1 edition (2015) and finally cracked the code for 2017. Now Uganda will be at 4 editions in 10 years in 2027 Now taking Uganda 🇺🇬 to AFCON after 40 years of failing is great but bringing AFCON to Uganda is not just historic but realizing a childhood dream by participating not observing Now we must not only qualify but compete at AFCON Thank you Government of Uganda Government of Kenya Tanzania Government Football Kenya Federation TFF TANZANIA FUFA CAF for believing in this project Welcome the World, Welcome Africa to East Africa in general and to our motherland Uganda in particular Karibuni Africa Masharik Pamoja ni uwezo Allah Akbar

Kenya is set to pay KSh 3.9 billion to CAF to host AFCON 2027. Hosting a major sporting event like AFCON is a dream for most countries, but my only concern is whether it actually makes financial sense. How much money will we really make from hosting it? More than 3.9 billion? I seriously doubt it. Even big football nations like Brazil still suffer economically years after hosting major events. They spent heavily on new stadiums and infrastructure for the 2014 World Cup, only for most of them to be abandoned afterwards. Qatar still has several top-class stadiums sitting unused after the 2022 World Cup. I have no problem with Kenya hosting AFCON , my only question is: does it make any financial sense?

So Algeria have threatened to withdraw from the race to host AFCON 2025 because of this innocent sentence from RFMF President Faouzi Lekjaa who was giving his cabinet colleagues a brief of the stadiums they will use incase they win the bid. This is proof that Senegal never deserved to be the true winners of the AFCON. Senegal never respected the AFCON competition. They walked off when a penalty was called for Morocco in the AFCON final! Why didn’t they walk off this time when an unfair penalty was called against them during this match against Belgium in the World Cup? Senegal are a disgrace to Africa!

Since when Apostle Gitwaza is a Rwandan? He is a Munyamulenge and a Congolese. In the video he is saying how he is a Rwandan son! These people who came from Congo and Uganda and murdered Rwandans to take over their properties, faked to be Rwandan, if the Kagame's regime falls, are they ready to pack and return where they originated from? These guys betrayed their place of origin and home country, will they return to Congo or Uganda after faking for so long to be Rwandan? When Kagame's regime falls, many will flee the country. They have cases to answer that involved killing to grab the land. I don't know much about crimes committed by Gitwaza specifically but he is not Rwandan. When was he naturalized? Many of Banyamulenge and Tutsi from North Kivu and Uganda committed massacres against Rwandans in 1994 and after, they have been masquerading as Rwandans for three decades! The case is not them being in Rwanda but how they came, killed Rwandans, took over the country, given ID's, faked to be Rwandans, while they aren't!
