UK dub absolutely mogs the US dub here

As someone who grew up with the US dub my whole life, I have to admit that the UK dub for intense scenes such as this, absolutely shits all over the American version Might be a hot take but yeah, the UK dub shits all over the US one

As a US boy this is correct

I still really don't like the voices here, I'll take the og US voices any day of the week, but I will say in terms of performance(at least in this scene) the UK dub definetly does a SOLID job here.

I speak as a yank, they really should've ditched the US dub when the show transitioned to CGI, no shade to the actors of course

I'm so glad we're only getting one dub with this new show. There have absolutely been times in the past I preferred the US dubs in terms of acting, but Thomas being British is a fundamental part of its existence to me.

Contradiction aside, this is really one of the most intense scenes the from Thomas the Tank Engine specials.

The main problem I have with Martin Sherman is that he can't actually shout too well in his Thomas voice which is why some of his scenes just feel a bit... clunky if that make sense

UK is better for sure. Ben Small truly gave his best performance as Thomas. Matt Wilkinson also gave a great performance with Cranky.
