Insanity. Sharia law should not exist in a western democracy. If people move to a country, they agree to live by its laws. There shouldn't be two sets of laws. There should not be a subset of people with more restricted freedoms in a supposedly free Western country. Western democracies espouse freedom of religion, but they do not allow religions to make the laws. If Islam requires laws to bend to its will, then it is not merely a religion - it's a political system. A free democracy should not accept a religion that comes bundled with a requirement to bend to its culture. I guess people are being bribed. How else could a people be giving away their freedom, peace, and harmony?
