Keir Starmer, who is refusing to help clear the Strait of Hormuz or participate in any form of pacification actions against the IRGC, says that "It is now clear that the impact of this war will affect the future of our country," meaning that higher costs will likely cause the UK to deindustrialize even further and import even more migrants to pad the workforce and alleviate economic strain. Undoubtedly, the British public will have to tighten their belts and be prepared to deal with the higher costs and job losses because Starmer doesn't think Iran is Britain's problem to deal with even though the UK's meddling in the Middle East largely caused all of this in the first place.
