How do you spend 22M and not be athletic?

Maybe Mark Pope can stop posting on social media about the possibility of jury duty on a state holiday and take this game as serious as Pat Kelcey obviously did

Mark - as a life long CAT, I have to say this is close to being the final straw. I wonder what Barnhart is thinking when Stoops is outperforming Pope? This could be Pope’s last season genuinely. My grandfather is a HUGE booster, and he isn’t happy at all right now. We need change

We noticed last year Jaland Lowe was a defensive liability. Noticed Louisvilles last few possessions they let whoever he was guarding go 1-on-1 against him

Kentucky under Pope will be above average to really good. Won’t be great.

Cats looked soft, Louisville wanted it more. If we seriously spent 20mil on this roster then we need a new GM

The only way they can play 2 bigs is if Yelevic is one of them, cause he’s the only one that can shoot

Gonna push back on Oweh’s shot. It does not look different. It was broken last year, and it still is. Go watch a game, it’s got that weird wind-up

That fact that this team is better with Oweh on the bench is shameful. He’s not even close to the same guy. Completely disinterested.

Lowe is a liability. Should’ve known that

Hi Matt 👋I think its important to remember that no matter who is on the court for Kentucky, its for a reason. Mark Pope is the greatest basketball coach to ever roam the sidelines of Rupp and we shouldn't question his basketball prowess! He did build the #1 Kenpom team after all

This was fairly accurate Matt and my takeaways from the game as well. I do think Louisville looked and played great, browns a stud, I do think oweh looked off

Pope spent 22 million on a team that can’t shoot when he had all that success last year with a team full of sharpshooters. This is concerning going forward. You need offense to win in march unless you’re Houston which this team is not even close to that defensively

Remember when Kentucky fans said they should be ranked higher for beating Purdue in a fake game? 😂

As good as Oweh was last year I was a little nervous having him back for us to continue making progress. He can do great things but because he can’t shoot I think it hurts us and how Pope wants to run his offense.

Lead got extended when ever Garrison came in. He did not switch. He did not defend.

You hyped Lowe up all summer lol

“you can’t have three guys on the floor who can’t shoot” …. groundbreaking stuff matt

Kentuckys best shot at Arkansas was last year and you guys missed it…

Is there any way we can hire Kelsey?

I was so glad to see Kam Williams have some success tonight. I believe he will be the difference this year between sweet 16 and Final Four. I wish I knew a site that shows the plus and minus of when a player is in. If anyone knows one could you please share. Thanks in advance

Ahh did you just get done crying? 😢😢😢🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Is Mikel still ass or nah?

IMO, I think you need more books.

I feel like Pope over recruited Bigs and under recruited Wings in the offseason. We are going to have games (like this one in my opinion) where we need a small ball lineup.
If you aren't going to win the National Championship, you damn well better win the UL game. Got $22M reasons why last night was an absolute failure...and they'll be remembered for it, but not positively.

I agree PK out coached pope.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHGA

Well I would hope with a 20 million dollar roster they’ll have some type of fight 🥴 #GoCards #HOLDdatL

Yo bro chill out on the meth

neither team played defense. Kelsey outcoached Pope and always will going forward. Don’t forget Pope lost 10+ games with a lot of talent last year.

Why do we think Jasper only got 6 minutes in a game where we were struggling to get buckets?

Recent events reminded me of this golden oldie, Matt.
