A year ago, I posted a summary of Professor Mearsheimer’s talk explaining why the Ukrainian war effort was doomed. He was right, but check out the reaction in the comments and QTs. It was the usual hysteria and smears.

I’m a 22 yr veteran. I was against Ukraine escalation since long before I retired. Now, 5 years on, I can’t oppose the war enough. I knew they’d never “win” outright against Russia, no matter how hard they fought. The whole dynamic of the war is preposterous. But what do I know?

@nfergus I've always said, Ukraine has zero chance of winning this war. It doesn't matter how many billions the USA sends Ukraine, it will never win this war. We are just wasting tax payer dollars funding this war for Ukraine.

@nfergus Ukraine lost the war when the 2023 counter-offensive failed. Their only chance is to fall back to the west bank of the Dnieper, dig in and sue for peace.
