Ukraine and Poland are preparing to host the Ukraine Recovery Conference this June. It is especially important for us that, for the first time, this annual conference will include a dedicated security and defense dimension – a key pillar of Ukraine’s recovery alongside energy, private sector development, human capital, and infrastructure reconstruction on the path to EU membership. I spoke about this at the “Road to URC” event in Rzeszów. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Ukraine’s defense industrial production capacity has increased 50-fold. Nearly half of the weapons used by our Defense Forces are produced in Ukraine. We have one of the fastest innovation cycles: from idea to active combat deployment in as little as three months. Ukrainian drones, ground and maritime systems, electronic warfare capabilities, counter-drone solutions, and new types of missiles are already changing the nature of modern warfare. The world is very interested in this experience. We are ready to expand cooperation and integrate Ukraine’s defense industry into the European space. The “Build with Ukraine” and “Build in Ukraine” initiatives create tools for developing joint ventures and localizing production both in Ukraine and in partner countries. This is a shared investment in the security of our continent. I am grateful to the Ukrainian defense manufacturers who presented their stands in Rzeszów. Ukraine is ready for defense partnership. We will continue developing these contacts at the conference in Gdańsk this June.

We discussed how we can expand the capabilities of our defense industry, develop new areas of cooperation, and open export platforms for weapons. We count on continued support for Ukraine. For us, this is one of the new spheres where we can see tangible growth in cooperation and in Ukraine’s defense industry. According to our estimates, in 2026, the production potential for drones and missiles alone will reach 35 billion dollars. Ukraine is ready to share its expertise and technologies and to develop joint production. We are also ready to open export platforms for weapons in Europe, the United States, and other countries, provided there is proper control and protection of our technologies. I thank everyone who supports Ukraine, invests in Ukrainian intelligent strength, and enables us to keep building our joint capabilities together. Today, we also discussed with the Prime Minister Statsministeriet the strengthening of our air defense and work on European anti-ballistic defense. It is extremely important for us right now to receive Patriot missiles as quickly as possible and to jointly develop our own European capabilities to counter ballistic threats. I thank everyone engaged in this effort. We are building up our own production, and this is essential. I also met with the Defense Ministers of partner countries who came to us on Independence Day. This is a great sign of solidarity with our warriors and with all Ukrainian people. We discussed the significance of developing Ukraine’s defense industry, cooperation in various formats, and security guarantees for Ukraine, which are crucial both for the future of our state and for the security of the entire Europe. I am grateful for the support and the readiness to continue working together for the security of our country.

I thank everyone engaged in this effort. We are building up our own production, and this is essential. I also met with the Defense Ministers of partner countries who came to us on Independence Day. This is a great sign of solidarity with our warriors and with all Ukrainian people. We discussed the significance of developing Ukraine’s defense industry, cooperation in various formats, and security guarantees for Ukraine, which are crucial both for the future of our state and for the security of the entire Europe. I am grateful for the support and the readiness to continue working together for the security of our country.
