We strongly condemn the actions of two volunteers in this video that has recently surfaced online. This video, which was taken in spring 2022 in Lviv, shows two Ukrainian Red Cross volunteers tying a person down who was suspected to loot humanitarian aid from a Red Cross tent.

The incident has been investigated by the Ukrainian Red Cross and resulted in the dismissal of the two volunteers involved. The actions seen in the video go against the humanitarian principles we stand for.

Es zeigt, wie zwei Freiwillige des Ukrainischen Roten Kreuzes eine Person fesseln, die im Verdacht stand, humanitäre Hilfsgüter aus einem Rotkreuz-Zelt gestohlen zu haben. Der Vorfall wurde vom URK untersucht und führte zur Entlassung der beiden beteiligten Freiwilligen. 2/3
