❗️Ukraine’s Minister of Defense Mykhailo Fedorov stated that Ukraine will not be able to surpass Russia in terms of the scale of funding or the number of personnel, but will prevail thanks to new technologies. According to him, during the latest massive attack on Kyiv, Ukrainian air defense intercepted 95% of the “Shahed” drones. With a full fleet of F-16s and a sufficient number of missiles, it would be able to intercept 80–90% of cruise missiles. In May, interceptor drones destroyed nearly 7,000 enemy UAVs. Ten Ukrainian companies are already testing cheap interceptor missiles, preparations for winter are underway, and laser air defense systems are being tested. Each square kilometer of Russian advance costs the Russian military 400 killed.

The competition between strike systems and air defense/interceptor systems continues to evolve on both sides. In response to Russia’s growing use of jet-powered Geran-4 loitering munitions and Geran-5/Banderol cruise missiles, Ukraine has begun developing jet-powered interceptor drones. The aim is to address a class of faster aerial threats that can be difficult for conventional propeller-driven interceptors to engage. Ukraine has also used Bars jet-powered drones in at least one strike campaign against Moscow. Their numbers are still believed to be limited, with propeller-driven drones making up the majority of Ukraine’s long-range strike fleet. This highlights a broader issue for Russia: the need to develop and deploy compact interceptor drones before faster targets become more widespread. The challenge is not simply intercepting them, but doing so economically. Traditional air-defense systems and MANPADS can engage such targets, but using them against relatively inexpensive strike drones can be difficult to justify economically. One potentially relevant example comes from Iran. Several years ago, Iran developed and deployed the 358 missile, a specialized system intended to engage UAVs. It is a subsonic weapon with a reported speed of around 700 km/h, an infrared seeker, and a turbojet engine, with a claimed engagement range of up to 100 km. Its design reflects a different approach to countering relatively slow aerial targets, without relying on the speed and cost associated with conventional high-performance surface-to-air missiles. The missile has demonstrated its effectiveness, having shot down a number of U.S. and Israeli UAVs. This is not necessarily an argument for simply copying the 358. The more important point is anticipating what types of drones may be heading toward Russian cities in the future and developing an interceptor that is capable of engaging them while remaining cheaper than the strike systems it is designed to counter.

Russian sources report that the attack on Moscow continues. Ukraine’s response to the recent atrocity Russia perpetrated in Kyiv involves (per current Russian counts) 250 drones, along with some jet powered ones. The war that Moscow residents pretended didn’t concern them for more than four years has come home. Some of them are unhappy about the state of air defenses, either unable to shoot down the drones or hitting own buildings instead.

❗️🇸🇪🇺🇦 Ukraine will receive air defense systems from Sweden, including Saab radar stations, electronic warfare systems, and drones, some of them with long-range strike capabilities. Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov discussed countering ballistic threats through the PURL framework with Sweden’s defense minister, as well as the launch of the Brave–Sweden program focused on defense innovation. The sides also discussed the potential delivery of JAS 39 Gripen fighter jets and the transfer of Meteor air-to-air missiles. These missiles would represent a major enhancement to Ukraine’s long-range air combat capabilities, with an operational range starting from around 160 kilometers, and are considered a key tool for countering aircraft that carry guided aerial bombs. 🇺🇦🇷🇺UKRAINE SAYS A NEW LASER WEAPON COULD ENTER SERVICE WITHIN MONTHS. Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Andrii Lebedenko says Kyiv expects to field a laser system capable of destroying aerial targets more effectively than machine guns within the next two to three months. The new directed-energy weapon is designed to intercept drones and other airborne threats with far greater precision, speed, and efficiency than conventional gun-based systems. If deployed successfully, the system could significantly strengthen Ukraine’s short-range air defense network, reducing ammunition costs and giving frontline units a powerful new tool against increasingly frequent drone attacks. ‼️🇷🇺🇺🇦Collapse in Kyiv: The Russian Army has launched almost continuous attacks – 1,500 UAVs in 4 days ▪️Explosions in Kyiv have been nonstop for days, and right now, air defenses are trying to shoot down more jet-powered drones. The capital has already sounded its 11th air raid alarm of the day. ▪️Of the approximately 1,500 drones launched by Russia in 4 days, more than 800 are jet-powered. ➖"In Kyiv, every morning has become a quest – to get to work before the alarm sounds. Traffic jams on bridges, a crowded metro, and constant sirens – all this significantly complicates getting around the capital," complain Ukrainian propagandists. ▪️Nearly continuous attacks create a constant strain on air defenses and simultaneously disrupt transportation, businesses, and urban infrastructure.

While Zelensky is vacationing with his wife in New York on American taxpayers’ money, Kiev is under attack by Russian jet drones. That clown launched an attack on Russian refineries, then grabbed his wife and fled the country, leaving Ukrainians to deal with the consequences. As you can see, Kiev has no air defense left despite the billions of euros Zelensky just got from the EU. They used to take these drones down with machine guns. Now it looks like they’ve run out of bullets too.

The visit to Denmark begins with an important step for our defense. An agreement has been reached on Ukrainian-American cooperation in drone production, including interceptor drones — a crystal clear priority. We have signed an agreement with the robust American company Swift Beat, and it foresees hundreds of thousands of drones this year alone, with the potential to significantly scale up production in the coming year. Interceptors to destroy enemy drones and missiles, quadcopters for reconnaissance and fire adjustment, and long-range strike drones — all of these will be produced in much greater numbers to help us achieve our defense goals and protect the lives of Ukrainians. Today, we will continue our work in Denmark, and on new agreements of this kind — focused on joint production, joint development, and joint defense. I thank everyone who is helping!

Russia deploys new Ukraine drone killer to the frontlines Rostec’s High Precision Systems division has delivered a fresh batch of Pantsir-S combat vehicles and stationary Pantsir-SMD air-defense systems to Russia’s army. The hardware has cleared rigorous testing and passed military acceptance, the state corporation announced. The newly fielded systems are rated for standard surface-to-air missiles, hypersonic projectiles, and short-range interceptors, with launch racks configurable by mission, packing up to 48 rounds in total. On round-the-clock alert, the Pantsirs neutralize everything from drones to ballistic and cruise missiles, throwing a hard protective shield over troops and civilian assets alike. "We’ve run these machines for years," said a Sever Battlegroup air-defense commander with the call sign Volk, cited by Rostec. "We rushed them to position, spun them up, and they’re already live on combat duty." The latest Pantsir-SMD variant is purpose-built to repel massed strikes, including swarms of UAVs, and is fully validating its specs under battlefield conditions.

A new stage of the war. Russia has started striking Ukrainian bridges with jet-powered drones. In particular, Russia carried out several strikes on the Southern Bridge across the Dnipro - one of the key transport arteries not only of Kyiv but of Ukraine as a whole, through which cargo moves from the right bank of Ukraine to the left bank and back. Everyday life in Ukrainian cities critically depends on bridges. The Southern Bridge, which the enemy has begun attacking, connects the left and right banks of Kyiv. Cars and trains of the green metro line run across it. During the first attack a passenger train was crossing the bridge. Repeated strikes on the bridge have serious consequences for Kyiv residents, who largely depend on public transport. The effects of the strikes were felt immediately: metro and surface transport were halted, specialists urgently inspected the bridge, and passengers had to look for alternative routes - which is extremely difficult. Since the beginning of the war the Russians have repeatedly attacked bridges. Previously, however, the strikes rarely produced results because Russia lacked the necessary means. Large bridges in Ukraine are capital structures built to withstand missile and bomb strikes. To destroy such a bridge or inflict any significant damage on it requires dozens of missiles, not all of which would reach the target. The older version of the Shaheds was also useless. The situation has now changed because Russia has acquired jet-powered "Geran" 4/5 drones, which Ukrainian air defense still struggles to shoot down. These Gerans have increased guidance accuracy. These UAVs can attack using ultra-precise coordinates. This means Russian drones can now strike bridges more accurately, hitting their weak points. Jet-powered drones alone are unlikely to bring down an entire bridge, but through regular strikes they can damage the supports and block traffic. The Russians are not only switching to jet-powered drones - they are also beginning to test autonomous swarms and AI. This is not yet a proven combat system, but it is the predicted next step. Thus Russia has moved to a new level of warfare - a regime of constant drone pressure that it can sustain for a long time. Today it is necessary to reduce Russia's ability to produce drones - through sanctions and restrictions on the supply of critical components - and to strike Russian military production and launch facilities. Whatever is still launched must be intercepted by the cheapest possible means. Russian drones must be stopped before they are even launched.

🚨🇷🇺🇺🇦 BREAKING - The Russians are consistently “panicking”. According to the occupiers’ military Telegram channels, Ukraine is now intensively — almost nightly — using domestically produced Neptune-type cruise missiles together with long-range kamikaze drones to strike targets in Crimea, primarily air-defense systems, their radars, and military facilities. Those reports say the northwestern part of the peninsula remains under heavy and continuous pressure from Ukrainian long-range FPV and Lancet-like loitering munitions (a Ukrainian analogue referred to as a BULAVA-type drone). 🔵 The information also claims that Ukraine’s Main Intelligence Directorate (HUR) may be preparing limited landing/raid operations to hit Russian logistics lines and disrupt Russian reserves in various directions. According to some sources, Ukrainian diversionary networks inside Crimea are becoming more active, and there are even claims that Ukraine plans to begin using long-range underwater (submersible) drones. 🇺🇦 The Ukrainian surface unmanned boat TRITON, capable of carrying a variety of weapons, was presented in Paris The main equipment includes a system for remotely launching drones or air-to-air missiles. The platform can be equipped with a remotely controlled automatic turret with an ammunition load of 500 rounds and an optical module. In the kamikaze drone configuration, the TRITON is equipped with a 7.5 kg warhead. A built-in warhead initiation system is provided for the platform’s self-destruction. The TRITON represents another significant achievement of Ukraine’s domestic defense industry in the field of unmanned naval systems. Its versatility — combining reconnaissance, strike capabilities, and the option for kamikaze missions — makes it a highly effective tool for operations in the Black Sea. The ability to launch drones and air-to-air missiles from a surface platform adds a new layer to Ukraine’s asymmetric naval warfare tactics. Video is generated by grok AI

When we met with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte Mark Rutte, Kyiv had already been hit by three waves of ballistic attacks. I briefed Mark in detail on all the consequences: the destruction and the casualties. This is the constant reality Ukraine is living with. It is impossible to counter this terror against life on your own. We have learned how to intercept cruise missiles and drones. We are now looking for solutions to counter jet-powered “shaheds,” and we already have good results. But against ballistic missiles, for now, the only effective option is Patriot interceptors, which we need practically every day. We discussed our needs for these interceptors and how we can secure a winter support package. Thank you, Mark, for your readiness to look for solutions. This is very important for NATO member states as well, given Russia’s constant threats to go further and destroy the lives of other nations.

‼️‼️🇺🇸🇺🇦🇷🇺 The delivery of Tomahawks to Ukraine could take months. If the U.S. approves the transfer, initial shipments will be limited in number and their use would be possible only with American consent. According to national security experts, this would allow pressure on Moscow to be increased in a structured way: after the first small batch they would assess the Kremlin’s reaction, and if there is no strong response, a less-restricted authorization could later be expanded — for example to include strategic targets near Russia’s borders. I met with Speaker of the Folketing of Denmark Søren Gade. I thanked him for Denmark’s strong and consistent support for Ukraine. Denmark always helps, and we know that this support comes not only from the government, but also from the parliament and all the Danish people. I am grateful for the words of condolence over the lives lost in Russia’s inhumane strikes. This is undoubtedly an escalation, and it is especially important now that the focus on supporting Ukraine does not waver. Financial contributions to Ukraine’s defense production and direct defense assistance, first and foremost air defenses to protect against jet-powered drones and ballistic missiles, are important. There are also opportunities under the European SAFE instrument that we can pursue together with Denmark to strengthen our shared security. We discussed all of this today. Thank you for your readiness to help in all these areas.

🚨🇺🇦✈️ ZELENSKY: UKRAINE IS BUILDING DRONES CAPABLE OF REACHING UP TO 10,000 KILOMETERS. If achieved, virtually every part of Russia would fall within the range of Ukraine’s next generation of long-range strike systems. President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Ukraine’s defense industry is rapidly expanding the capabilities of its indigenous drone fleet. According to him, Ukraine already fields long-range drones with an operational range of more than 3,000 kilometers, a figure expected to increase to 4,000 kilometers by the end of this year. Looking ahead, Zelensky revealed that next year Ukraine expects to deploy drones capable of flying between 5,000 and 10,000 kilometers, marking a dramatic leap in the country’s long-range strike potential. Such a capability would allow Ukraine to hold strategic military targets across the entire Russian Federation at risk, including locations thousands of kilometers from the front line, fundamentally reshaping the strategic depth of the conflict.
