A new study by IDI's Gabriel Gordon shows that this is costing the Israeli working public. Israeli taxpayers will pay about NIS 3,540 more in taxes this year as a result of low workforce participation among Haredi men and lower taxes paid among those who do work. Likewise, the State of Israel is missing out on some NIS 9.5 billion in direct labor tax revenue from Haredi men.
