The Ukrainian FP-2 drone gets shot down a lot by cheaper Russian FPV drones. But Ukraine uses the FP-2 strikes high-value targets (e.g. energy infrastructure, air defense equipment, ships etc.) which makes them worth it.

Overnight, Ukrainian attack drones swarmed Russian-occupied Crimea, hitting numerous targets. Seen here, onboard footage as a group of FP-2s destroy a trio of Russian Orion long-range surveillance drones at Kerch Airfield, catching one as it was taxiing back from a mission.

Ukrainian Warriors destroyed a Pantsir-S1 system and an S-400 launcher, radar and auxiliary elements in Russian-occupied Crimea. It's getting increasingly harder for Russia to stop Ukrainian strikes on Crimea as Ukrainian strike capacity grows. Russia cannot stop bringing air defense systems and other military equipment to Crimea and it cannot stop them being destroyed by Ukraine. Thus, Crimea becomes a sort of trap for Russian military equipment.

Russia is increasingly using small interceptor drones to stop Ukrainian kamikaze drones before they reach their targets. In recent footage, Russian mobile firing teams are seen launching "Yolka" interceptor drones against incoming Ukrainian FP-1 drones, with the interceptors reportedly destroying them through direct aerial collisions. The footage also shows Russian soldiers attempting to engage the incoming drones with small-arms fire, but hitting fast-moving targets at high altitude can be extremely difficult. Ukrainian FP-1 drones can also alter their flight paths, making conventional ground fire even less effective. As drone attacks become more common, both Russia and Ukraine are developing low-cost interceptor drones that can engage other drones in the air. This emerging Drone-vs-Drone technology could become an increasingly important layer of modern battlefield air defence. #russia #ukraine #RussiaUkraine #drones #DroneStrike

New video of Ukrainian 🇺🇦 strikes on multiple radars and air-defense systems in Krasnodar Krai, in southern Russia 🇷🇺 These strikes on air-defense, coupled with the previous campaign in southern Ukraine and Crimea are opening gaps for long-range strikes against the Russian economy/refineries in the southern part of the country. If the US were to allow Ukraine to use Starlink over Russia, numerous air-defense systems, radars, and Iskander missiles would be threatened by operator-controlled Ukrainian FP-1/2 drones, mainly in border regions.

Ukrainian Navy units, together with Special Operations Forces, carried out strikes on Russian targets in occupied Crimea. • "Pantsir-S1" decoys were hit with what looks like FPV drones launched from naval drones. Notably, this appears to be the first time the Ukrainian Navy has employed FP-2 strike drones, identifiable by the green interface visible in the strike footage: • In Novoozerne, FP-2 struck a BK-16 landing craft. • FP-2 strikes also hit infrastructure at Kirovske Air Base, destroying a storage site for Orion drones and four control stations.
