Why is the U.S funding this? So Ukraine loses slower and has more people die? Russia will take the entire country eventually barring the entry of foreign troops to help Ukraine. Russia simply can afford to lose more people and will win because they have more cannon fodder. That is how the Soviets defeated the Nazis they could lose millions more men and win with sheer numbers. Same concept here.
