This was Ukraine’s response to a similar statement issued by the Russian Federation. Since then, Russia has attacked Ukrainian ports dozens of times, damaging many ships and killing and injuring crew members and dockworkers. 🔹️28 November 2025: Ukrainian naval drones struck two sanctioned tankers of Russia’s shadow fleet, KAIRO and VIRAT, in the Black Sea as they were heading for loading at the port of Novorossiysk. The corner of Bessarabia, where the Dnistrovskyi lagoon, Zatoka, and the ferry crossing converge into a single narrow passage. A production workshop and a warehouse for combat units, including components for unmanned boats, were hit. Vilkovo, 138 kilometers southwest of Odessa, at the mouth of the Danube. A patrol boat base of the Ukrainian Navy, which was used to escort ships carrying military cargo and fuel to ports, was hit. Port of "Odesa": three dry cargo ships, two marine tankers, as well as fuel tanks and warehouses containing military equipment. According to the Ministry of Defense, the ships were used to deliver military cargo and fuel to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. In Russian-occupied Crimea, there are huge lines at gas stations. Gasoline is being delivered by ferries. The ferry fleet has suffered significant losses, which is why tankers have to wait in line for the ferry for an average of 4–5 days. Tankers are currently not allowed on the Kerch Bridge, as authorities fear it could be blown up. Ferries carrying tankers also look interesting. Even more interesting for the Ukrainian Defense Forces are the holding areas before the ferry - tens of thousands of fuel-loaded tank trucks are accumulating there.

Russian tourists waiting at the Kerch Bridge checkpoint to leave Crimea from the Kerch side on June 26, 2026, filmed burning UAV wreckage in a field next to them. According to those at the scene, the drone was shot down directly overhead by air defenses. Based on what is visible from this angle, the wreckage bears a resemblance to a Russian Orion strike UAV, although the available footage is not ideal. But most likely, it was one of the Russian Orion drones based at the Kerch airfield that was either brought down by Russia's paranoid air defenses or decided to self-destruct, which, in the case of the Orion, is not uncommon, as these drones have a well documented tendency to crash during landing.

Originally known as the Kigongo-Busisi Bridge, the Chinese-built mega infrastructure was renamed Magufuli Bridge in honour of the former president. The project is being developed by the China Civil Engineering Construction Group (CCECG) and China Railway. The bridge was entirely financed by the government of Tanzania through its own revenues. The People's Daily, the official newspaper of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), said construction of the bridge was completed on October 6. "As the last tank of cement was poured on Sunday, the construction of the Magufuli Bridge was completed by two Chinese companies in Tanzania's northwestern Mwanza region," the People's Daily said in an online post. "The Magufuli Bridge is the only extra-dosed cable-stayed bridge in the Lake Victoria region and the longest of its kind in Africa."
