@NordVPN It really is that sense of being a part of a greater whole, the good times and those not so good, but those shared experiences are priceless regardless of the results.

"It's not given to you. You have to go out there and put in the time. You have to go out there and earn it. You have to pay your dues. You have to do it when no one is looking-when no one is there." It's never about what you want. It's about what you're willing to do.

Rick Rubin on being addicted to the miracle of creation: “I like the moment of revelation. So we're working on something and it's just okay. It's boring. I'd rather not be there. That's how it feels. But then something happens and it's like magic. Something appears. It's not like we made it. Something comes up in the process. It's conjured in the process. It’s like a miracle and that's the thing that's addictive. That feeling when it's like it's not good, it's not good, it's not good, it's not good. We try something and it doesn't work. Try something else and it doesn't work. But then all of the sudden what we're listening to is really cool. That's the [addictive] feeling, that moment of discovery where it goes from nothing to something really good. And then the whole rest of the process after that is protecting that because it's super delicate. When it happens it's like this miracle happened and this magic thing happened and now we have to protect it through the rest of the process to not ruin it. It's scary because you don't want it to end. You don't want it to stop because we know if it stops, we can't control it. We can't do it again. It's not like that. It's this moment in time where something magical happens. So we spend a lot of time waiting and I can't say that's fun. Waiting is not fun.”

When you're playing a point, it has to be the most important thing in the world. And it is. But when it's behind you, it's behind you. This mindset is crucial – because it frees you to fully commit to the next point with intensity, clarity, and focus. ~ Roger Federer

(laughs) It's a lot um it's a- uh, uh, it's an interesting thing, um, it's hard to describe what it means to be American and what it means to be American but it- but it's like a cultural fusion. It- it's kind of like the cheeseburgers and french fries. People don't really see, like, you know, it's uh, it's uh... People don't think, "Oh, you can eat cheeseburgers and french fries," but that's what it's like to be American. There are no quick fixes or simple hacks for becoming strong, especially when you do it the healthy, natural way, and whoever's telling you otherwise is likely trying to sell you something. Developing a strong and lean body is all about CONSISTENT EFFORT. It's about enduring some hunger and putting the fork down when you feel like eating some more. It's about working out when you're tired and stressed, and lifting is the last thing you want to do. It's about being patient and working for months to see a tiny bit of improvement. It's about accepting that it's hard work, and it's never going to get easier. It's about embracing the suck — and even learning to love it. Nothing's standing in your way. There's nothing you need to buy — no specialized equipment, no fancy foods, no expensive supplements — FITNESS IS FREE! All you need to do to achieve the body of your dreams is to embrace consistent, self-imposed hardship. Learn to love the suck — and you'll be unstoppable.

"What we do is tough. It's demanding. It's hard. But, that doesn't mean you can't have passion and energy and enthusiasm for it. To me, it takes those things to be great at something. It's everyone committed to doing their best on and off the field."
