I personally think a lot of these people are not truly evil…but misguided. Terribly misguided. And while I do feel a deep revulsion in what I see, and I may shout in private about how angry it makes me, I need to tell myself that these people are likely deceiving themselves. In the famous words of Optimus Prime or paraphrasing “Everyone deserves a chance at redemption, even if they are unlikely to take it. It’s our only hope that we may one day bring a lasting peace.”
