The mountain of evidence for robo-umps grows larger by the day. It's time. It's simple...an earpiece that immediately lets the umpire know whether or not the pitch was in the strike zone. Why let them subjectively make these calls when we have this technology? #mlb

Maybe MLB should ban catchers from bringing their gloves back into the strike zone after they catch a pitch that misses the zone. Catchers would have to hold their glove where they caught the pitch. If they move it back into the zone, the pitch is called a 'ball'

That might be the worst call I've seen in a while.

Even the pitcher knew he missed by a mile.

Umps need to be fined when they throw someone out for a horrible call.

I'm not a big Boone fan, but that line is classic!

Bruh just dont put him at home plate cos dang hes really bad at it

Correct me if I’m wrong but I believe there was a time in major-league baseball when the Homeplate was outlined with a black stripe which allowed the umpire to see the ball more clearly as it crosses the plate. I would suggest that they re-institute his black stripe

Two teams need the courage to just pack up and walk off the field. They will get fined, but so what, MLB will then get the message, fix the problem or more walk outs will occur. Players have a union, take action or stop complaining!

He called strike not for ball placement, but the batter being half way to first before his call.
