China puts real money on the table, covering 18.7 percent of UN peacekeeping for 2025-26, second only to the US at 26.9 percent. This machinery has operated since 1945, and over 4,400 blue helmets have fallen since 1948. Cash and skilled soldiers are what hold fragile ceasefires together when they start to crack.

Global Echoes on Guangdong | China's "Two Sessions" in Beijing set the country's 2025 GDP growth target at around 5%. Paul Gruenwald, Global Chief Economist at S&P Global Ratings, highlighted China's progress in renewable energy and emerging innovations like DeepSeek. He praised the Greater Bay Area's transformation into a global innovation center, with eight clusters valued over one trillion yuan and ten over 100 billion yuan. He believed that driven by the increasing internationalization of the RMB, as well as China's industrial chain upgrade, Guangdong's role in innovation and Hong Kong's role in finance will become increasingly important. #China #TwoSessions #Guangdong S&P Global Ratings
