In a disturbing escalation of political violence in West Bengal, the TMC launched a violent attack at the BJP District Party Office in Cooch Behar. The Assembly Elections are probably 11 months away but TMC have unleashed their attack dogs on the principal opposition party; BJP. This shows that they are losing ground and that's why they are resorting to violence so early. The Party Office is located in the Cooch Behar town and the incident unfolded in the presence of Mamata Police. TMC Goons along with Jihadists who are under the patronage of Mamata Police executed the attack. Several of our Karyakartas got injured badly. Recently, BJP MLA from Cooch Behar South Assembly Constituency; Shri Nikhil Ranjan Dey was attacked by TMC Goons while he was going towards Dinhata Court. Today's incident has reignited concerns over the deteriorating law-and-order situation in the district and all over the state as well. The attack is a deliberate attempt to intimidate BJP workers and a blueprint of the TMC's desperation to cling on to power through violence and thuggery. Today, despite having informed the police in advance that I intended to attend a gathering of supporters of the Islamic Republic, I was subjected to unacceptable and deeply concerning conduct by the Metropolitan Police Service. While I had engaged in no form of violence and was merely asking participants simple questions including “Are you Iranian?” and “Do you support the Islamic Republic?” I was first assaulted by a woman who threw a sandwich at my face. Shortly afterwards, I was suddenly subjected to physical force by a police officer. This use of force was so excessive and unprofessional that it aggravated an existing injury to my rib. Following this incident, instead of protecting me as the victim of an assault, the police threatened me that I must either leave London or face arrest. I was then again presented with the ultimatum of leaving the area or being arrested. This occurred despite the fact that the assault against me took place in full view of police officers, who failed to take any meaningful action to protect me. This conduct constitutes not only a clear violation of my right to freedom of expression and peaceful presence at a public gathering, but also demonstrates unequal and discriminatory treatment by the police. I will be pursuing this matter through the appropriate legal and oversight channels and will be filing a formal complaint against the Metropolitan Police Service for the violation of my rights. The violent attack by TDP leaders and Balakrishna’s followers on the YSRCP office in Hindupur is a direct assault on democracy itself. We strongly condemn this barbaric act. When political parties start destroying offices, smashing furniture, breaking glass panes, and physically attacking workers, it shows a dangerous collapse of democratic norms. The absolute inaction of the police makes this even more alarming. Their silence is not negligence. It is a warning that Andhra Pradesh’s law and order machinery is being openly misused for Chandrababu Naidu’s political agenda. TDP’s brutality in Hindupur clearly shows how Naidu’s leadership emboldens mobs, encourages violence, and tries to crush political opposition through fear. Today I was run off the road in Rocky River, and the life of me and my family was threatened by a person who proceeded to show a Palestinian flag before taking off. When I came face to face with the attackers soon after the incident, they further threatened to attack our officials. They did not even spare the lady Corporators who tried to come to Shri Sahoo’s rescue. This is nothing but goondaism. I urge COMMISSIONERATE POLICE to act upon the complaint lodged by Shri Sahoo with the Kharavela Nagar Police Station and take prompt action against all the culprits to help restore confidence of our employees and people's faith in the rule of law.

Over 2,000 people marched peacefully in Toronto to support the hostages and condemn antisemitism. During the march, a jihadist assaulted Maayan Shavit, a family member of Kinneret Gat z"l (who was murdered on October 7th in Kibbutz Be’eri) and of Carmel Gat z"l, a hostage (who was murdered in Hamas tunnels on August 29, 2024). This incident occurred in front of the Toronto police. I stepped in to protect her and de-escalate the situation. Suddenly, Toronto police aggressively attacked me, threw me into the middle of Yonge Street, damaged my sign and phone, and handcuffed me. They pushed me to the other side of the street. I calmly explained what happened, stating that Maayan is a family member of hostages and that if the Toronto police arrested her after she was attacked by Hamas supporters, it would be all over the news, causing another international embarrassment for Canada by the Toronto police. When the Toronto police officer realized his mistake, they immediately released me without any charges. We continued the march, and at the end, we took our unity picture. Thank you to the Jewish community and special thanks to Maayan, who stood in my defense in front of the Toronto police. This is the true meaning of unity. The antisemitic jihadist who started the incident was left free to harass Jews and victims of Hamas terror, while I was handcuffed for defending a family member of the October 7th terrorist attack. This is a clear example of two-tier policing. Neither Maayan nor I broke any laws. Neither of us was arrested or charged.
