I literally can’t believe what I just watched Michigan is ranked 44th in 4th grade reading nationally and only 38% of 3rd graders are proficient in reading So lawmakers passed a new law. Now in schools students will be taught to sound out words…. We teach our students entrepreneurship from a young age. This is an annual flea market where students bring their used toys, books and anything they don’t want to school to sell to their fellow schoolmates and even teachers. Before the market starts, we teach them how to advertise, price, negotiate and give change. This way, they can learn the art of buying and selling, get rid of things they don’t want and have fun. These are practical skills and knowledge that we should also give our children in Nigeria. Not all of them, but some of them will find their calling in business and can start at a young age. Our teachers have an instrumental role to play in teaching them, encouraging them and gaining other skills other than just teaching students what is in text books. The online world now is providing more opportunities to do business, and kids should be in this action. It will sow seeds for our future business ecosystem and add more value to our economy.

Bill Cassidy (R-LA) believes the federal government should take on a larger role in helping identify dyslexia in children from an early age.
