You just answered your own question: High Majors don’t recruit HS kids that much anymore, so you put your resources into recruiting HS kids that aren’t 5 star or McD AAs bc they are being neglected now.

Mid majors becoming farm teams pretty much. Instead of risking scholarships on potential and upside the power conf teams can just pillage the small schools for proven players after they took the risk and did all the work. I blame the NCAA tho...

Asking alumni to pay kids to play who do not care about the university is not a solution. The NCAA needs to have contracts and salary caps. If the university can't pay for the sport, then get rid of it.

It shouldn’t be on fans to keep mid-majors afloat. We need transfer fees. They then can reinvest into the program.
