VA disability should only apply to those that got hurt in active combat fighting for their country. With a very small exception, the rest are just leeches and scammers. Ordninsrily, I don’t mind but seeing that we have become anti-welfare then let’s pull the whole thing down.

I know a guy who worked at a desk, his whole military career and he’s got 100% disability. There’s a business around being an advisor you pay to help you through the process of getting 100% disability lol.

My mother in law served for 4 years and fought for literal decades to get 100% disability. I don’t get how you can work a job for 20+ years after service but be 100% disabled

Every vet that retired in recent years, that I worked with, have disabilities but are still able to work. It’s a recent scam that I wasn’t aware of when I served in the 70’s.

Not every Veteran gets disability. I bet that most don’t. The process is actually very difficult to cheat. I work with 5 Vets that get nothing. I have talked to many who wish they could get more but can’t cheat the system. The VA system helps Vets. It’s not perfect but we would have a lot more homeless Vets without it. Just my observation/opinion.

Every one I know that severed is on some form of disability which ranges from 1k to 4k a month and some of the spouses are getting money for being care takers as well.

Every GWOT vet I know has disability. Every single one.

Every veteran I know gets some disability. One of them does the same job as me. I’m certainly not saying it’s wrong. I’m just saying.

There have been people who never completed basic training or were able to receive disability.

The problem with Uncle Sam, is the trillion-dollar federal grant outlays to state and local governments it gives every year. It is a middleman system entrenched for special interest groups Your screwed up if you have issues with VA compensation out all things.
