Yes, I got the COVID vaccines because I have an autoimmune disease, and my doctors strongly warned me I was at high risk and could die if I caught COVID. So I followed their advice at the time. I started with the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine. Later, I was told its protection wasn’t strong enough against new variants, so I received two doses of Moderna followed by a third booster. Since then, I’ve had three confirmed cases of COVID anyway. I also strongly suspect I had it as early as March 2020, right before the pandemic was officially declared. The whole experience — the shifting recommendations, mixing vaccine types, and still getting infected multiple times — has left me with deep regret!!!!

My son delayed applying to medical school because of this BS. My entire family was ostracized, made to defend our positions in writing to keep working. They requested letters from our church minister, due to us citing religious freedom. We didn’t travel. We didn’t lie about our status. We just stayed strong and prayed the day would come that we would be vindicated. Thankfully the mandates have been forgotten. But no one has been held responsible for the fact that we had to dig in and fight. It left a lot of distrust and bitterness. Still salty.
