Unlike MAGA zealots, many Americans don't have the memory span of a goldfish and remember the rough shape Trump's policies had this country in even BEFORE Covid.... Did Trump's tariffs tax the holy-hell out of American businesses, break supply chains and drive prices up? Yep. He's threatening to do it again. Did Trump's trade war bankrupt small farmers across the nation and have them on 2+ years of multiple taxpayer funded billion dollar welfare bailouts? Yep. Was manufacturing in a year long recession in 2019 laying workers off by the thousands (especially automakers) thanks to Trump's tariff policies. Yep. Did Trump's deficit-funded 1.7 trillion dollar "tax cut" (aka wealth transfer to his donor class) reverse the 6 year trend of the deficit going down and give us a whole new bag of debt to pay off? Yep. He's threatening to do it again. Was homelessness skyrocketing across the nation since 2018? Yep. Did the fentanyl crisis hit its highest level ever in 2019? Yep. Was our military bases getting bombed by Iran giving out troops brain trauma (or "headaches" as Trump calls them)? Yep. And that was all before Covid which Trump botched with his inept response and made things much worse while he was golfing every chance got. He was incompetent, his policies ruined a lot of lives and he proved once again that "fiscal conservatives" were about as real as a f'n unicorn. The J6 riot at the Capital was just the cherry on top of the shit sundae that was his one term failure of a Presidency.
