Under NO certain terms should #thfc be selling Will Lankshear on a permanent basis! ❌ I rate him so highly - to the point where if he was given a chance we would never look back. Cutting ties with his development after a very strong loan spell at Oxford,...

His technical floor is shit. Let him go for the right money.

Got a buy back clause and matching rights. He goes and develops for 2 years and we can buy him back. He’d be settled at a permanent club rather than continual loan spells. Can’t you see that?

Honestly having seen him a lot during his spell at Oxford, he’s a good physical forward with promise - but nowhere near top of the Prem level (yet?). And he won’t get game time next season to prove it on that basis. So what magic answer do people have?

I have a question..an actual question. If our youth players have such a high ceiling where is Man City, Bayern, Dortmund, Betis other proper clubs? There is no interest at all from what I'm seeing.

Totally agree, very annoying to see Lankshear looking to move on. Has the physical attributes to give him a very high floor and make giving him mins very low risk. Don’t understand it. Particularly given RDZ gave good mins to Evan Ferguson as an 18 year old.

Was brilliant for us, in a relegation scrap all season. In a better team he’d have better service and more chances. Worth a punt as backup in the PL or another loan move for more development. Wish he’d come back to Oxford!

Ok getting so annoyed at this “I rate him so highly” Listen. This means fuck all. You don’t watch him day in, day out. You don’t TRULY know his key strengths and weaknesses. His mentality. You cannot truly rate him because you don’t actually know him.

I’ll add to other OUFC comments .. He was so good ; best loan in many years If dickhead Rowett had played him more there certainly would have been more goals Nice lad ; speaks very well

I'd rather sell Scarlett that Lankshear.. He looks physically to handle PL football and could com back to haunt us this decion. Parrot left has flourished in Holland and Ireland. Don't make a big mistake...

Honestly I think there is a plan here it might not make much sense to us now. But maybe we are clearing out academy players who we feel aren't good enough for our first team to then bring through a new generation in three or four years. We have changed up our under 18's and 16's

Eh. How many ‘promising youngsters’ have we seen come and go? Who’s come out this academy in the last 20 years bar Kane? Madueke? Tanganga? Winks? Would love the lad to prove me wrong but really don’t think he’s at the level we want to be at.

@Spurs986 How do you know it’s de zerbi ?? Lange is in charge of youth!! I don’t think any club consults every fan when applying a strategy in a transfer window!! I love Begvhall have his Kit but we if he moves on then all the best to his career! I am fully COYS

THFC should under NO terms sell Will Lankshear because Spurs Army rates him so highly 😂

I am not sure he would become elite in a possession side. But haven’t watched him enough. Imagine will be the same matched and sell on profit. Got a few others coming through or just bought like Melia as well

I really wonder why we bother having an academy it cost a fortune to bring these kids through the system to play for our club and never given a real chance

It sets a ‘very bad tone’ that you join Spurs, increase your profile that you get a good championship loan & get sold to a championship club to start your pro career. 99% of academy players would give their arm for Lankshear’s path right now.

Every decent prospect we have folks argue that we should keep him. Less than 5-10% of academy players establish themselves as a first team regular beyond 2 seasons. That means out of 100 academy players we sell on, we might keep 5-10 of them. Let that sink in

Look at the money you's have spent this year though. This will be a case of balancing the books. The transfers inn, if over a 4 year contract, only 25% counts each year as loss. With an academy player being sold it's counted as 100% profit. Will almost certainly be for that.

Seth Rogen reveals The Interview used a real tiger because the CGI was too expensive, then the tiger wrangler started asking terrifying questions I did a movie called The Interview about North Korea, and there’s a scene with a tiger. I directed the movie with my partner, and we wrote this scene where there’s a tiger. I thought in my head it would be CG. Life of Pi had come out recently, and I was like, “We’ll get the Life of Pi tiger. Put us down for one Life of Pi.” They were like, “We can’t afford that at all. We’ve got to get a real tiger.” I was like, “Oh God.” So we found a tiger wrangler in Calgary, and we had a call with him. It was so funny because he was the least confidence inspiring person you’ve ever spoken to in your entire life. I asked, “Where’d you get the tiger?” He said, “From a stripper.” We were like, “What?” He said, “She had a tiger cub as part of her act, and it got too big, so she had to get rid of it.” We asked, “Where does a stripper get a tiger?” He said, “It’s easier than you think. You could get one.” We had sent him the script, and he said, “Let’s go over the scene. You’re not shooting this at night, are you?” I said, “Yeah, the scene is set at night.” He said, “Ooh.” I asked, “Why is that bad?” He said, “Well, they hunt at night.” He asked, “Can it be during the day?” We said, “No. Is that okay?” There was a long pause, and he said, “Yeah, it’s okay. I think it’s okay.” Then he asked, “It won’t be in a big open area, will it?” We said, “Yeah, it’s basically a giant meadow.” He said, “Ooh.” We asked, “Is that bad?” He said, “Well, if there’s a deer or something, they will go after it.” We said, “That’s bad. Should we not do this?” He said, “No, it’s fine.” Then he asked, “It won’t be raining, will it?” We said, “Yeah. We’re filming in Vancouver in the winter. It will be raining.” He said, “Oh, that’s not good.” We asked, “Why?” He said, “The rain really agitates them. They just don’t like the rain.” We asked, “Should we not do it?” He said, “No, it’s fine. It’ll be fine.”
